Q: How does it stand up to moisture or water

Like all jute/cotton/denim materials, it can absorb water and should not be used in applications with known standing water issues. Our Heat Wave Pro jute is treated to be mold, mildew, and fire-resistant but still should not be left in standing water. To protect the jute from normal small water occurrences, we recommend installers tape up any seams or edges with high-quality foil tape to preserve the inner jute.

Q: Can this be used under my hood?

Yes, Heat Wave Pro is a thermal insulation layer that can be used under the hood or on the firewall. We do recommend you tape up all seams and edges with foil tape.

Q: Need spray adhesive installing between headliner and roof? Is spray adhesive needed in hood? Do you need to use a roller to install?

Heat Wave Pro will require either spray adhesive, double sided tape, or dual lock Velcro to be adhered. If you don't buy our spray adhesive or tape, we suggest 3M90 locally. You do not need a roller for the Heat Wave Pro.

Q: Can I use this product behind the cover to my bedroom radiator for noise mitigation and heat efficiency?

If there is a 2" air gap from the cover to the heat source it would be safe. Make sure to tape up the sides with foil tape. As far as heat efficiency goes, you would have to provide us with some photographs of your cover and radiator system for us to provide a proper answer to that part of your question.
