Second Skin Heat Wave Pro – Jute with Reinforced Foil – Headliner and Under Carpet Insulation (3/8" Thick, 24 Sq. Ft. - 1 Sheet)

The Second Skin Heat Wave Pro – Jute.. is awesome. I used it in conjunction with the Second Skin Damplifier Pro sound deadening mats on a vehicles doors. The Jute material is very thick and the reflective material is quality. I love this products 'natural' and anti-itch properties; handling and installation is a breeze. The product is light but also very dense. Also, the how-to and informational videos on Second Skin's website made it very easy to decide which product's to purchase and where/how to install. I decided to tape the raw edges of the jute mat after trimming to size to inhibit any dirt/debris from collecting in the fibres. I used spray adhesive (I had laying around) on the raw edges and then sealed it off with common HVAC tape. Next time around I will be sure to use all Second Skin products because they are definitely quality.

You are the type of person respecting your vehicle. Your vehicle though 20 + years old - looks and runs great - you discover during the cold months - mice decided to make your periodically warm engine compartment their home. And while they are there - they rip apart your hood insulation to keep toasty warm. But you do NOT like the way THAT looks. So You buy this and the fasteners which Amazon sells here: Rexka 30pcs Hood Panel Insulation Retainers Clips Hole Size 1/4" Compatible with GM 3078511 3977775 Buick Cadillac Chevrolet GMC Hummer Oldsmobile Pontiac Saturn Honda Escalade Sierra Silverado Then you carefully remove the hood insulation from the hood and place it atop this new piece of insulation - which resembles what you had there - draw the outline and cut to size. Be aware this is so well made and dense - it was an workout to cut - so be careful you do not hurt yourself when you use the cutting tool. By the way - without hood insulation - your hood surface will start to deteriorate.

Does a great job at keeping the heat and sound out. Kept the heat from the trans tunnel from being soaked into the cabin area.

It’s a good product just be aware that when cutting it there are hard spots in the shredded material that make cutting it a challenge.

I installed this product in two different vehicles one is an old car thats noisy and hot this product seems to have helped with both issues. I also used this above my trucks headliner and thats where I saw the most improvement my truck is a lot cooler and quieter. Great product.

Put this in my 88 gmc truck and man does it make a difference. When I use to drive you could hear rattling and all outside noise. Now I can at least have a conversation with my passengers and enjoy music without blasting it over the outside noise

Easy to glue down and form to floor.

Product holds heat in more than it does keep the heat out. It does a great job as a sound deadened for the headliner of a 2018 GMC Sierra.
