Would you say the background color is more tan, beige, or cream?

I bought the "paloma grey" pillow cover, and the print is fairly blue, while the background is definitely beige (not a cream, which it should be if the grey were really grey). Honestly it doesn't look great, if one was expecting a grey print on a cream background.
