Excellent Woofer!!
Out of the box it makes for a potent woofer. Attached a low pass x-over and now have an amazing subwoofer.

These work equally well in a household home theater system, they last while sounding immaculate.
I own two of these, they are still perfect at 10 years of age. Infinity seems to wander back & forth between the Reference series & the KAPPA series at the same power rating. Don't wonder, these hold up at rated power & have nearly forever. My first Infinity's were huge Quantum 2s of the popular Quantum series in the seventies. These subs are no joke, but they are single voice coil only rated up to 1200watts. What I found best was to pile 4 units fairly together wired for a 4 ohm load. They work well with Pioneer Champions as well. These are a real cheat on how to get a superb sub in your home for a whole lot less cash. Either power with a dsp equipped power amp or use an electronic crossover like I did. Not even a hint of a problem, these are unreal for what they are. How often to you get a reference from a full decade of use & abuse audiophile owner?
