A customer's slider door was broken and needed a new handle. I ordered this since it looked identical to the one I needed. Part arrived the next day and got it installed. Not sure if the customers' door was wider than normal but the se=crews that came with it were too short so I had to go get longer screws to make it work

Seriously, it is cheap. Lasted 13 months. 2 stars for its performance while it worked. If you don't mind yearly subscription for a new lock, works great.

Key is poorly made, lock is unusable from outside
This locking handle is garbage. At first it was great! But after daily use the lock and key are just not strong enough to work long-term.It started working poorly after the first 4-6 weeks or so. For reference, I was using this lock daily, about 2-3x per day, to leave via the back of our house. The key is made from VERY SOFT metal and bent after about 5 months of use and no longer fits into the lock. My husband hardly ever uses this door or his key and even his key will not go in smoothly, so there is something wrong with the locking mechanism itself as well. Now we have to lock it from the inside, leave via another door and walk about the house to get to our car. Returning home requires the same method.Unfortunately, this is the only lock/handle I have found that fits our house's 1989 sliding glass door, so I have purchased a new handle to replace this one when we move next year so that the new owners can have a working lock for a few weeks. I do not recommend this to anyone who needs a functional door lock to use daily. If you just want something for a door you never use, or you just want one that you can lock from the inside, this should work fine for you.

Used in an rv
We have a 2011 cedar creek cottage rv and the patio door lock/handle broke. With a couple minor adjustments we installed it in our rv and it works fine even in -40 temperatures

Fell apart.
The media could not be loaded. I purchased 2 of theses for my sliding patio doors. 1. The screws provided were too short. For one door o was able to Jerry rig the screws to work. But one of the cast screw holes had a different thread. But got the product installed. The second one the barrel fell apart and pins fell out immediately. Batting 0 for 2 so far. Do I a dare try a 3rd one?

Key got stuck in lock, entire thing fell apart.
Key got stuck in the lock, had to take the handle back off to try and take the key out. While trying to turn and wiggle the key out, the entire locking mechanism fell apart.... Got the key back, i guess... But now competely broken...
