Our slider door handle virtually came apart in my hand as I was opening it. Realized it was designed poorly with weak stress points where the handle actually meets the plate! After running around town pricing a replacement, discovered this door handle cost LESS than any replacement in town! The Paint And Glass guy advised I purchase it! Not only did it arrive in ONE DAY, but it was also much sturdier than my old door handle! Stout junction where the handle meets the plate. It is actually molded into the plate body and very thickly designed! Even the hardware is extremely strong! No pot metal there! The screws were a little long and it was really difficult to cut them to size but that means they will hold! Very happy with this!

We have a dog, so opening and closing the door constantly wore out the threads on the old handle and it became loose. This handle feels great and the casting looks solid. The threads on the old door felt kind of flimsy, then again, it's been in service since the early 80s when the house was built. Installation was very simple and so far it works great

This was a basic handle which fit as described. Please note the internal workings of a sliding door lock are not included, these are just the outside handle parts. I ended up using my original outdoor handle (the side without the lock) because the screws provided did not fit my door (they were too short) and when I tried to use my old screws with the new handle, the handle was not deep enough. It's a bit of a goldilocks, one screw was too long, one was too short. I guess I could have run to the hardware store to get the screws that would be "just right" but then the screw heads wouldn't have been white and I would have had to drive somewhere to get them (me being lazy).Perhaps you won't have an issue with this but with the too long screws, my door handle would wobble. Using my old outside handle worked a treat though and I actually prefer it because it was a bit deeper to grab (although it's not a nice and new).Overall a fine handle for the price and cheaper online than what it would have been at my local Home Depot.

This is my third handle I've purchased for my sliding door. Finally, I fell that I've more than likely purchased my last. The quality of this handle is very high, and installation was a breeze. Other handles are made cheaply and after several months start to loosen and fall apart. This handle appears to be one solid piece. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or family member!

So the product seems fairly sturdy and as advertised. My only complaint is that somehow the screws that came with mine slipped through the cracks. I got 4 screws: 2 long, 1 medium, and 1 short. Unfortunately, the long screws were too long and the short was too short, leaving me with one single correct screw. I'm not very handy, but I did my best to shorten one of the longer screws, only to screw up the threading at the tip of the screw. I ended up using the correct screw and the long screw and I'm going to try to go to the hardware store to get a second correct length screw.

The handle on my sliding patio door had "snapped off". Fortunately. this handle was a perfect fit. It comes with a small lever to engage/disengage the lock. NOTE: This package does not include a lock. It includes: the interior (curved) handle, exterior handle, a small lever for engaging or disengaging the lock, and 3 sizes (lengths) of bolts. I did not need to use the new lever. I simply had to unscrew the broken handle and then screw the new handle on. It took me about 2 minutes! If your handle is broken (but the lock still works), this is what you need. Just make sure that your door lock is a "mortise lock". Otherwise, this handle probably will not work for you unless you simply need a new handle.

i needed to replace the handle on a very heavy glass sliding door and was concerned about a new handle being strong enough. i don't usually write reviews, but i'm writing this one because this handle works perfectly and is very fairly priced. highly recommend :)

Nice , solid iron, easy install but needs tweaking with a locking mechanism, existin hole in the frame did not match exactly and needed to be moved

Home Depot wanted $90 plus tax for a new handle. Ridiculous. I bought this one online and it was delivered within 2 days. Instead of waiting fir my hubby to do it I tackled the job myself. Literally changed the handle in about 3 minutes. Super easy and a great product! Glad I saved myself a bunch of $.

This handle came with 3 sets of screws at different lengths. I used the smallest ones which held tightly for around 2 months. The handle got looser and looser then fell off. The screws are not strong enough for the handle.

Fit well, but not perfect.
