LLPT Butyl Seal Putty Tape Black

Used this to repair a inner door lining on my car which wasn’t stuck down properly allowing a little water leak, easy to apply and stuck the lining down very well so fingers crossed no more leak.

I usually buy a mastic based sealant to seal my Motorhome roof windows, after a recommendation from a friend I looked at the Butyl strips as an alternative, the other 'Named' brands were a 5 meter roll for roughly the same cost as this item but this one has 10 meters on the roll so better value straight away. Still a bit sceptical, I installed the tape on the roof and Ohh my word, it sticks, I mean, it really sticks, when you use this you only get one chance to get it right, so be precise and certain you have everything lined up correctly. The window has been fitted and it has sealed perfectly, there was heavy rain that evening and there were no leaks at all. Highly recommend this tape and I certainly won't be going back to the mastics.

Used to reseal the aluminium window frames to our GRP boat. Worked very well and now we don't have any leaks! Be careful not to let the putty contact anything else in the process as once it sticks to something else, it ends in a big mess!!! Also when dropping the frames back in, you only really get one chance - so make sure its aligned exactly. A big advantage is once the window frame is back in place, its water tight - no need to wait for it to cure like other sealants.

Super Artikel. Tolle Klebekraft und vom Trägerband sehr leicht zu trennen. Keinerlei Rückstände. Dadurch sehr schnell und einfach anzubringen und zu veranrbeiten. Richtig gute und frische Ware. Dankeschön.

Great stuff. There is a bit of a learning curve to using it effectively. Free tip, keep everything clean. Another free tip, watch a couple of youtube videos before diving in to leakproof your deadlights. My deadlights don't leak anymore but, had I informed myself better, they would not look as tatty. They still look much better than when I tried it with Sikaflex. Update: Don't use this where it is exposed. It will still be waterproof but look terrible as it remains sticky, forever. I now use this for bedding and waterproofing but seal off with with Sikaflex 591. Another tip, Use White Spirit to clean it off places you can't work out how it got on to.
