signs of previous use. Bladder stays cool but hose warms up, counter productive
The media could not be loaded. I originally wanted the full force as saw a vid review and a year after review which showed it was durable, insulating and fresh water tasting. I opted for this was it would arrive in time for our holiday and even if the hose didn’t, the bladder kept the water cool. I was skeptic so as it looked like it had previously been opened (weathered sellotape outer and inner - neither of which we’re actively keeping the package sealed) I turned it inside out to clean and found marks on the inside. Washed by hand, dried, filled and put it in the fridge for use on a walk prior to our holiday. In the morning my wife commented that it had leaked and I replied with it must have been something else. I had filled it to 1300 and now there was only 900ml remaining. After inspecting I found the fault (see vid). I’m now convinced this was a return due to a one off failure (so many reviews could t have been wrong but then again they weren’t for this model but HydraPak should have the same high quality construction throughout the range no?) Also be aware that the Hose surely got warm so over time would have had to get an insulated hose. Having an insulated bladder with standard hose is counter productive. Just go for a force and have both if want a bite valve. Plus the durability

Works great in a motorcycle tankbag
Just completed a 7,300+ mile motorcycle trip and used this water bladder in my tank bag every day. Normally filled it with cold water the night before and placed the bag in the hotel refrigerator. The bag kept the water cold for hours and at least cool through a hot afternoon. After taking a few sips I hold the hose up in the air before closing the bite valve to allow water in the hose to drain bag into the bag. This left only an inch or so of water to be heated on a hot day. This way my next first sip was cool to warm but never hot. Durability is good and the bag is easy to clean. I found this an excellent product for this application.

Bad Bite Valve
The bladder itself is very good but the bite valve doesn’t come with a cap to keep the mouth part clean. So for an extra £10, I had to buy a separate Hydrapak bite valve which did have a cap. Before the end of the first day of using it (on my skiing trip), the bite valve disappeared - it must have come loose from the tube. Luckily, I was able to buy another valve from Intersport. It was a much better valve altogether with a cap to keep it clean and a fitting designed not to be easily dislodged from the tube.

Love the insulation
Wish it came in larger volumes too.

Withstands even Phoenix heat..
Got this for my wife...she is a letter carrier in Phoenix. She freezes her water pack the night before so it stays cold on her back. When it was "only 105" out she got done with some water still frozen. Excellent insulation. Now that it hit 117 it did not stay frozen all day but still impressed. High quality...
