Delicious & Premium โ Perfect for Gifting!
Absolutely amazing! The SMOOR Premium Celebration Box is a delightful treat. The almond snaps are my favorite โ perfectly crunchy and not overly sweet. While the box may seem a bit expensive, the quality and taste make it completely worth it. A perfect choice for gifting or indulging yourself this Diwali.

Falls just short of being 'perfect'.
This product from โSMOOR Chocolatierโ is its โCelebration Packโ/โBoxโ. Containing a total of 16 โassorted compoundโ โpralinesโ, 2 of individually-wrapped โTrue Treatsโ bars, and 2 of individually-wrapped โNougatโ bars, the โPack'/'Boxโ, to the best of my understanding, aims to deliver on a range of flavours. Since the โPackโ/โBoxโ I received did not contain a โcheat-sheetโ labelling any of the โpralinesโ, the information stated below with respect to the โpralinesโ is entirely based on my own experience. 6 of the โpralinesโ I received were composed of milk chocolate, and the other 10 were composed of dark chocolate. The โpralinesโ were in varying shapes and sizes, contributing to their aesthetic appeal. The list of ingredients indicated the โpraline(s)โ flavours as: nature identical flavouring substance (vanilla), almond, raisin, apricot, and artificial flavouring substances (caramel, orange, and coffee) among others. 3 of the milk chocolate โpralinesโ I received were akin to inverted โReeseโsโ โPeanut Butter Cupsโ in terms of shape. 1 of them came across as if being composed of only milk chocolate, while the other 2 delivered on a โcitrusyโ flavour. They could have had โorangeโ and/or โapricotโ, but the โcitrusโ was strong enough to be interpreted as โlemonโ. It was not off-putting at all, complementing the milk chocolate very well. 3 of the milk chocolate โpralinesโ I received bore a โGnocchiโ design atop a thick chocolate block. They all, upon taste, were highly reminiscent of premium โVanillaโ ice-cream in terms of flavour. I also experienced a โhintโ of โorangeโ as an aftertaste. These โpralinesโ were better when had straight out of the refrigerator, than at room temperature. 2 of the dark chocolate โpralinesโ I received had a โrhombusโ-like design atop a thick chocolate block. They both delivered on a pleasant โcoffeeโ flavour. The chocolate itself had a โchewinessโ to it, something I have experienced before with a โSMOOR Chocolatierโ โTrue Treatsโ bar composed of dark chocolate. It was not off-putting though. 2 of the dark chocolate โpralinesโ I received had a โpentagonโ-design atop a chocolate โdomeโ. While one of them delivered on a distinct โroastedโ almond flavour, the other came across as if representing a flavour combination of โalmondโ and โapricotโ. Both โpralinesโ were quite tasty in their own right. 3 of the dark chocolate โpralinesโ I received had a โswirlโ design atop them, resembling a wooden โlogโ of sorts. Upon taste, they all came across as if representing a flavour combination of orange โpeelโ and golden raisins. The โchewinessโ of orange โpeelโ and raisins were also noticeable. These โpralinesโ were scrumptious, being some of my personal โfavouritesโ in the โPackโ/โBoxโ. 3 of the dark chocolate โpralinesโ I received had a โcocoa plantโ design atop them. Upon taste, each had a โsofterโ center than the others in the โPackโ/โBoxโ. One of them delivered on a premium โVanillaโ ice-cream flavour, with a โhintโ of โorangeโ as an aftertaste. The other two came across as if representing a flavour combination of golden raisins and dark chocolate. I liked them all equally. โSMOORโ โTrue Treatsโ โMalt Nougat Barโ: Composed of center (nougat) (65%) with malt extract (3%) among other ingredients, and coating (milk chocomass) (35%) with artificial flavouring substance (vanilla) among other ingredients, the bar should ideally be slightly chilled (not frozen solid) prior to consumption. When bitten into, the โnougatโ is, in terms of both texture and flavour, reminiscent of โHorlicksโ โBurfiโ/โfudgeโ as available in select sweet shops across the country. The chocolate component complements it well enough. For a distinct experience not had conventionally via chocolate-based food products, this bar is worth trying out. โSMOORโ โTrue Treatsโ โStrawberry-flavoured Nougat Barโ: Composed of center (nougat) (65%) with rice crispies among other ingredients, and coating (milk chocomass) (35%) with artificial flavouring substance (strawberry) among other ingredients, the bar should ideally be consumed at room temperature. When bitten into, the โnougatโ has a โbaby pinkโ hue to it. The โstrawberryโ flavour shines through and through, neither being too subtle nor โartificialโ or โchemicalโ-like. A pleasant grit akin to that felt when consuming real strawberry fruit is also experienced. The rice crispies are not noticeable at all. The chocolate component is โsecondaryโ here, with the bar, on the โwholeโ, delivering on a premium โStrawberryโ ice-cream flavour. This bar is among my personal โfavouritesโ in the โPackโ/โBoxโ. โSMOORโ โTrue Treatsโ โPlain Chocolateโ: The packaging indicates the cocoa solids content as 55% approximately. It contains artificial flavouring substance (ethyl vanillin) among other ingredients. When unwrapped, the bar comes across as if composed of two thin โslabsโ of plain chocolate held together, each pre-divided into a total of 10 squares. The squares bear a โcocoa podโ design. As soon as the bar is bitten into, the โslabsโ come apart. The โthinnessโ of the โslabsโ contributes to a pleasant experience, with the chocolate having a โsnapโ to it. It is โplainโ, but not devoid of flavour. A โchewinessโ is felt throughout the consumption of the โbarโ. It does provide for a lingering chocolatey mouthfeel and aftertaste. The chocolate is not offensively bitter, and is actually โtameโ when compared with the dark chocolate โpralinesโ part of the โPackโ/โBoxโ. โSMOORโ โTrue Treatsโ โMilk Chocolateโ: The packaging indicates the milk solids content as 22% approximately. The cocoa solids content has not been specified under the list of ingredients. The bar contains artificial flavouring substance (ethyl vanillin) among other ingredients. When unwrapped, the bar comes across as if composed of two โslabsโ held together. As soon as the bar is bitten into, the โslabsโ come apart. The โthinnessโ of the โslabsโ enhances oneโs overall experience with the bar. Each of the โslabsโ is pre-divided into a total of 10 squares. Each square bears a โcocoa podโ design. Upon taste, the chocolate comes across as if containing โsaltโ. A โhintโ of salt in sweet food items tends to enhance their overall sweetness. The key is to ensuring that the โsaltโ is not overdone. The โsaltโ in this bar can, at first, be overwhelming to oneโs palate. It is unexpected, and the chocolate itself plays a โsecondaryโ role. As more of the squares are consumed, one gets accustomed to the flavour delivered on by the bar as a โwholeโ. This bar might not have a โuniversal appealโ, but it cannot be disregarded either. It is worth a try for the โsurpriseโ. Had the โPackโ/โBoxโ included even a single item composed of white chocolate, it would have been a โcomplete packageโ. Since I did not experience โcaramelโ flavour or texture in any of the โpralinesโ, as indicated via the list of ingredients, a sense of disappointment was felt. That said, the items part of the โPackโ/โBoxโ are good in terms of quality and flavour. Overall, this product is worth the purchase.

Yuck
I was expecting real chocolate because we used to enjoy going to Smoor in Bangalore, but this was a big disappointment. It is waxy and has no chocolate flavor. It is made with vegetable oil instead of cocoa butter. So there is no real chocolate taste, just this oily/waxy coating in your mouth that isnt pleasant. And the fillings had very little taste as well. I bought this for my husband's birthday over a month and half ago. It is still sitting in the fridge barely touched because it just isnt that great. I have actually spit out a couple of the truffles because it was so bad and just tasted like a ball of solidified oil. Overpriced for fancy packaging, but the quality is not worth the price.

Ooty chocolates taste better than these.
Apart from the packaging there is nothing good about this product. Quality and taste of chocolate is horrible. It's like full of dalda / veg oil. Very bad quality ingredients used to make this chocolate. Even ooty chocolates taste better than these. It is better to buy fabelle, chokola brands. What a rip off. Smoor has a lot of good products like macaroons and couverture chocolate deserts confectionery but this was way below expectations. Disappointed.
