Very happy with my new kettle, not as cheep as it looks in the pictures. Sturdy, solid and does what a kettle is meant to do. Good size, I was impressed with being able to have the amount of flex out that I needed and not the extra amount I had out with my last kettle (🦢)!!!So this kettle it tidy and fits the space well, smart in appearance, not over complicated as some are these days (I sound old!) . Easy to clean . I have no complaints at all,( and I am a very fussy person, I like things exactly as they should be ) I would defiantly buy it again and recommend to friends and family for sure. Very impressed

Wanted a black kettle to match my other kitchen appliances and I find this one to be very nice to look at and reliable but the boil speed is not as fast as my previous kettle. Still recommend though.

The design is nothing startling but it looks quite nice, and it does have the water gauge at the side which I wanted.The lid opening is good and it closes properly, and the spout doesn't drip or pour out over your hand.It is rather tall (although only the standard 1.7 litre) and is hard to fit under the tap in my half-sink.Also it takes a long time to boil even the minimum amount of water, and is quite noisy.But I didn't want to pay 5 times the price for something more design-ery even if it had variable temperatures, so I'm happy with it so far.

Really like this kettle. Feels like it's quieter than the previous brand we used.

Slow boil! When I first filled it full and switched it on it did nothing, thought it was broken. Seemed like ages before making any noise. Slowest kettle ever. And the switch light doesn’t have a posh looking soft glow like in the picture. But yes it works

So far, so good. It successfully boils water. The appearance is sleek and unobtrusive. The cord is a decently long length, unlike some *ahem* more expensive kettles.Since I have a small space, I would have preferred a smaller model or a snazzier design (like glass). However, having gone through two kettles this year (not counting the one someone took), I based this purchase solely on ratings about reliability and safety.So, in short, this is what the kettle has NOT done:* It has not caught on fire!* It has not shorted the electricity.* It has not puffed loads of steam into the mains due to an excessively short cord.* The button has not jammed.* It has not spewed its contents like a volcano.Etc, etc. There are many things that it has NOT done. However, what it HAS done is boil water, so mission accomplished.

The first thing I noticed was that it only had a single vertical water level window and it was on the wrong side for left handed users! It was also about a centimetre higher than the defunct unit so that it did not quite fit under the tap when a bowl was present. 2kW heater, so slower to boil than the 3kW model it replaced. I could have checked these features before purchasing but it did not occur to me. It works and I am reasonably pleased with it.

Have thrown it away as it is full plastic composition i.e. carcinogenic. Was expecting some kind of steel/ glass inside but shocked it is full plastic/pvc which cannot be met with boiling water.
