ZOCONE Beech Wood Embroidery Hoop Stand with 2 Pcs 6'' 8'' Embroidery Hoops

After pulling a tendon in my wrist, holding a frame while cross stitching was not possible but I was not willing to try something new for a lot of money to learn that an embroidery stand was not comfortable either. This works well. The diagram is pretty is to follow and the holder is really not that complex to figure out any way. The wing nut is a PITA and does loosen but not bad enough that I can not work around it. I can easily swivel the piece around to get to the back and it is comfortable to use while in a chair. I do wish I could lower the height an inch or so but it's not really a problem It made cross stitching easier to do and nicely holds my project when I am not using it. I have tested it with various hoop sizes and they all seem to work. They just have to be the typical wooden hoop so that the brass tightener area fits in the clamp properly. My wrist is healing well and I plan to continue using the hoop stand afterwards.

So happy I got this! I am just starting out learning how to embroider. This stand makes it so much easier to use both my hands when needed. It is sturdy, well made, adjustable and perfect for embroidery work while sitting in my comfortable Lazy boy chair. The bottom wooden piece slip under my thigh and holds the stand in place. The wooden pieces grip the hoop and can be manipulated to get the desired angle.! The price is reasonable and I will definitely be using it a lot. It makes learning how to embroider much easier. Love this stand!

I enjoy this stand, though I find it a bit difficult to use as intended on a soft surface, which is mainly every piece of furniture I own. This works well sitting on a table, and the wood is good quality. This was easy to assemble and holds up well as long as your project isn't too large. I am working with a lot of extra fabric right now and it's a bit tricky to keep steady but it works. The grip holds my hoops well and friends have commented on its cute appearance.

Game changer. And the price is great. Completely worth it 10/10!

I've been doing embroidery for a pretty long, and I've spent a lot of time in the embroidery area of various craft stores and specialty shops. I'd never heard of these types of stands until I saw someone with one on Instagram. It was an immediate need. Tired of hands cramping while holding a hoop? Embroidery stand. Filling in a billion French knots? Embroidery stand. Working other two-handed stitches? Embroidery stand. Simply lazy? Embroidery stand. It VASTLY improves the embroidery experience. I have used mine regularly for over a year, and I just purchased one for my mom (who recently got into the hobby) for Christmas. This stand is well-made with sturdy wood and easy to put together. It can be a little tricky getting everything at *just the right angle* but it is adjustable enough. For the price, this is an excellent stand for a hobby user. There are other options out there with more bells and whistles; this one covers the basics at a price point that feels very reasonable.

I actually love this stand, I love that I can put the hoop in literally any position in front of me with just a few adjustments. I've gotten faster at embroidery since I got this stand, and can do it more comfortably for sure. I especially love it in car rides and for the 1,000 French knots I stupidly chose to undertake. However, the quality is really poor. As I was putting it together, with essentially no force one of the wood pieces snapped. I glued it and clamped it for a few hours and it's fine, but it has failed in a few other spots as well. I've had to repair it with glue and tape a few times now. I also had to sand rough edges that were very uncomfortable under my leg. For the price, the quality is lacking. It should cost half as much for the quality. Altogether great design, poor quality.

The first stand I ordered was sent with a bolt that had no head, so it was unusable. Replacement got delivered , and the bottom “clamp” piece was unthreaded so the screw to hold the hoop clamp together to hold the project could just be pulled out, and a project will not stay in the clamp. Im so annoyed!!

Why didn’t I discover this before?! I’ve been using my own two hands to make French knots this whole time like a plebeian… If you are like me and think “I have hands, I don’t need a fancy contraption to hold my hoops” WELL THINK AGAIN. Just buy this :’) Anyway, I’ve been embroidering for the last several months. I saw one of these on one of the needlework Instagram accounts I follow, and then another, and another. Some were big enough to stand on the floor, others clamped to a table, and a few compact doodads with a base (like this one). Fast forward… I found myself doing a project with about 750 French knots. I’d do the first bit and then put the hoop in my lap to use both hands to do the loop-de-loop, and then pick it up again… you get it, because you’ve probably done it. I thought “Maybe I should get one of those things that holds my hoop so I can get these done faster” and boy oh boy I don’t regret it one bit, despite being tight on money (it’s pretty inexpensive and pays itself off quickly with how efficient it makes embroidery). It’s easy enough to put together with a bit of IKEA furniture logic and some glances at the instructions. I’ve found that the second screw in the bottom of the clamp is not necessary for most people, by the way. It’s overall really easy to use & adjust while you’re working. It might take a bit of getting used to, but you & this stand will be friends in no time. Having a hands-free experience is great. And the type with the lil base is just so versatile!! I can put it on my coffee table, stand it on the floor in front of the couch raised up all the way (with the hoop flipped around and upward like an obtuse number seven), or, what I do most, wedge it under my bum/knee/leg while I’m curled up on the couch and move it whenever I need to rearrange my body. That’s so much better than cramping myself into a single position for hours to work on a project using just my hands, especially with chronic pain. Fun bonus: I got a pack of round 6mm magnets to use as needle minders/holders/organizers/landing pads. This hoop holder has screws that the magnets stick to in really handy spots, so I can just slap my needle down on one of those when I take a break!! My only complaint is that the hoops it comes with (I believe they are 7 & 10 inches) are…. Not great. They aren’t sanded very well so they’re kind of splintery and fabric slips and slides around the rim which isn’t completely even. I didn’t expect them to be included anyway, and they’re not the sizes I use, so I’ll probably find a new home for them. Most standard wooden hoops fit just fine with this clamp, so I use my go-to 6” beechwood or bamboo hoops instead. It’s also weird to me that these are only available in this style, no modern-looking ones anywhere, but that’s not a big deal. All in all… so worth it :) love having a friendly wooden slave to hold my projects for me, keeping them raised safely on the table (vs being trampled & slept on by my feline assistant when I “stored” WIP’s on the couch at night. This is an awesome embroidery frame. It was recommended by my online coach. It is sturdy enough to use allowing both hands to be free. I use it all the time. Good investment if you embroider.

I received the product, notice that one of the screws that hold the circle is defective. I wrote to the customer service and they just responded that they can’t help, and only wished me a good day. Poor customer service….

The stand was easy to assemble and works very well. It came with 2 embroidery hoops as well which are good quality.
