Over 300 Illustrations Inside - Special Launch Price! Electrocardiograms (or โECGsโ) can seem very daunting when you first try to read them. There are so many squiggles, often visualized in six different "boxes" on the ECG interpretation page. You've been told that those squiggles mean something important about the heartโbut what? In this guide, you will understand how ECGs are performed, what they represent about the heart, and what it means to see something you don't think is normal. Before you get into the hard stuffโthe actual interpretation of ECGs, and what to do about what you've readโyou'll study the source of the ECG, which is the heart. By reviewing what this important organ looks like and does every moment of your life, you'll see how those ECG lines get generated and what exactly they mean. Then we'll talk about how the ECG is generated and how you obtain an ECG. What is the difference between a "rhythm strip" and a 12-lead ECG, for example? What is a P wave or a QRS complex? After you learn these, you'll be ready to interpret what you see on an ECG reading. The rest of the guide gives you the tools to read any ECG and know what it means. We'll cover all sorts of arrhythmias as well as ECG evidence of ischemia and infarction. We'll also talk about what you need to know concerning how drugs and electrolyte abnormalities affect the heart, and what kind of ECG you'll see under such influences. Easy to Understand
This book ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about the heart and ECGs. It doesn't assume any prior knowledge and everything is explained very clearly with excellent diagrams. Those with more understanding of anatomy can just skip to the ECG sections, although the early chapters provide a handy reminder. Would definitely recommend this book.

Quite an easy way to deal with a hard matter
A great book which easily explains a matter which looks all but simple. I do think it should be in the bookcase of each student or physician who, though not a cardiologist, meets the heart in his or her clinical practice.

Good Book for Beginners or Refresher
I needed this to get back into the swing of things and have those reminders of what to look out for. This book is a great introductory guide, it may not provide enough depth for more advanced learners or professionals seeking a comprehensive, clinical-level resource. Some topics, such as advanced arrhythmia management and detailed pharmacological interventions, are only briefly touched upon or not covered at all. Additionally, the bookโs focus on visual aids and simplicity may leave some readers craving more in-depth explanations or nuanced cases. For anyone planning to pursue an advanced career in cardiology or emergency medicine, this guide would need to be supplemented with more technical textbooks or clinical practice Overall, EKG / ECG Interpretation Made Easy is an excellent resource for students or beginners who are looking for a user-friendly, visually rich introduction to ECG interpretation. Its clear explanations and practical illustrations make it a standout choice for anyone just starting out in healthcare studies or those who need to refresh their knowledge in a straightforward, accessible manner. If you're looking for a comprehensive, detailed reference, however, you might need to look elsewhere or use this guide as a stepping stone to more advanced material.
