I like how easy the polyester filter screen self cleans when flushed. It appears that the sediment particles do not get clogged in the filter as easy as stainless steel filters.

I got it early on the day of delivery, was able to complete repair early, works as expected, good product!!

I have literally sold hundreds of Rusco Filters in my time in our family hardware store. They are top of the line. For best filtration and water quality, immediately place a charcoal sediment cartridge filter after this spin down.

I use this filter for my lawn irrigation system in Florida. Unfortunately the water comes from ponds so it has algae, mud, insect larvae, and small amounts of sand. Turning the bottom valve to “flush” the filter element does little to clear it. I have to remove the element and wash it out with a high pressure garden hose nozzle. This chore is required at least once a week. I have gone from a 155 or 140 mesh filter, that would completely clog up to an 80 mesh filter to reduce the urgency. Still it prevents all the irrigation heads from clogging up.

We rotate our filter system to always keep it clean. Helps the well pump and the sprinkler system. Very happy with purchase.

be aware that 1 1/2" is not the same size in other parts of the world ! otherwise a good product

While it make work for others, it did not work for my well. I have never used a filter (immaculate water, over recharge zone), but started to get some sediment in my water. After 2 plumbers, in filter company (AquaSource), 3 different well companies it was determined that I should put on a filter. I was told I did not need a new expensive self cleaning filter, that a small one should work. Talked to Rusco and they picked this filter for my needs. Found it on Amazon and thought I was good to go. I am having to clean it once a day if I use water over 45 min. or so. In Texas in the summer, you can easily go over this watering trees, plants, etc. The well folks have been out again and again. My water is not that heavy with sediment so if someone with really bad water were to use this, my guess is you would be cleaning the filter a couple of times a day. I bought a replacement filter (new, still in box) but sadly cannot return it because the return window closed (short window). Just disappointed I had to pay a plumber to set up the run for this filter and now I have to go a different route. Costly gamble for me with this filter.
