OREI 1 in 16 Out HDMI Splitter 4K@60Hz 8-bit with HDCP 2.2, 18 Gbps

I hand only older 1x4 splitter that worked for years and stopped working. I upgraded to a 1x8 since I actually had 5 outputs. Replacing this was much harder than I thought. This one worked great. I hooked up 5 inputs with long HDMI cables (50-75 feet each). It worked just fine. All 5 TVs showed the same signal without interruption. Previous to buying this one, I bought 2 others that did not work. Unlike the others, this one had a 12W power supply (12V @ 1A). The other ones were only 5W (5V @ 1A). I suspect this contributed to the issue. With the other ones, the video would flicker or not work at all if I hooked up more than 2 inputs. With this unit, it worked flawlessly even with all 5 TVs hooked up and running. If you need a splitter and have long cables, I'd highly recommend this one!

I was tired of paying for 2 xfinity boxs , my 2 TVs are close to each other so I got the HDMI splitter and hooked the 2 TVs together with the OREI, works perfect, just needed short HDMI cable to go from cable box to the splitter, Happy!

Quick setup Worked perfectly actually this did better than what was installed 3 years ago for less than cost of 30 mins labor. Quickly separated 1080 signal from 4k and clear picture Would consider again in future this mfg

Great product! I’ve been using it successfully since August 2022. It has worked flawlessly. Unfortunately most recently I experienced the screen fluttering and ultimately losing the ability to display media. I’m currently troubleshooting the issue and will see what I come up with. Inspire of this in still impressed by the product!

I purchased this item to replace my 1 x 4 HDMI splitter since I added a 5th TV. The product arrived when it was scheduled. I read the directions and then turned off my 1 x 4 splitter and connected all 5 TV's to this new 1 x 8 HDMI splitter. I connected the newest and best resolution TV to port #1, then connected the remaining 4 tv's that are all different size tv's. I then went to each TV and turned them on. Each TV took about 2 seconds to read the information from its HDMI cable. All 5 TV's worked and I am very satisfied with this product. I should mention that I am using very long cables to two tv's. One cable is a 150' Fiber Optic cable, one is a 100' Fiber optic cable, one is a 100' HDMI cable, one is a 75' HDMI cable and the last one is a 20' HDMI cable. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a HDMI splitter!!

DO NOT FORGET to change the switch from TV to STD, or you'll only get 1080p resolution like I did. Fortunately, the manual explains it. Also, buy HDMI 2.0 and up cables, although my pastor innocently bought older 1.4 cables and I was still able to enable HDR on Windows and it worked. However, I only got up to the max 4K30 that HDMI 1.4 version allows, which surprisingly looks acceptable for 30 Hz but not optimal like 60 Hz. If I enabled 4K60, Windows would send 4K signal but TV would only display 1080p signal, and definition obviously suffered. Curiously, bitrate went up to 12-bit from 8. If you have a laptop like I do in church, you'll get two choices by default in the Windows display settings: the laptop screen as #1, and the splitter as #2. Keep in mind that if you have displays with different resolutions, the splitter will only allow you to select the lowest resolution on Windows. As an example, I have two 4K TVs mounted on the altar's wall and one 1080p TV on the opposite wall. I can only run the 4K TVs in 1080p when that one is turned on during services. Brethren are non-techies, so they don't notice, but I do, ha-ha! On movie nights, I don't have to turn it on, so we get the full 4K resolution on the altar TVs. The fit and finish on the splitter is very nice. I think the price is fair.

I so wanted them to work. I spent an hour with the first one, trying different cables, different settings, every combination of ports and settings to get a 4kx60hz signal from my PC to my monitor and TV but could get only get 2k to my monitor and no signal at all to my TV, even though I'd been able to with the Orie 2k splitter I was hoping to replace. After a couple of days and several email exchanges with Orei tech support I concluded it was defective, so requested an exchange, and also purchased new 8kx60hz 48Gbps cables. When I received the new one I initially could not get anything beyond 2k, but finally after an hour of swapping cables, outputs and settings I finally got a signal to both. I was so happy. Thinking that perhaps the original one was okay but just needed the magical combination of cables and settings I replaced the new one with it and could not get any signal to either device. When I swapped the new one back in I had the same result. I played with the configuration for a few minutes before giving up. Not certain, but I'd have to guess that somehow the order of connecting power and inputs/outputs damaged them. If so, another reason to avoid them. I'd replaced two of their 2k switches due to premature death (presumably power, though they go through a UPS/surge protector) so I know they are cheaply built. But at least when those work they work consistently.

Does what I got it for perfectly - Keeps my computer monitors alive and doesn't mess with the window positioning when I turn off a monitor. But apparently I could've just gotten a "Dummy HDMI plug" (or DisplayPort I suppose) to do the same thing. You plug it into the GPU's empty plug hole and it tells Windows that the "monitor is on and alive" so Windows doesn't do anything stupid.
