The Fairytale Hairdresser and Sleeping Beauty (3)

I love the twist on the traditional fairytale...my daughter loves seeing the illustrations, which include lots of other characters she recognizes...she gets so excited when she sees the pictures. I wish the females had a bit of a stronger role in the series (both Kitty Lacey and the princesses), but that's OK. At least they are a different twist than the Disney versions.The illustrations in this whole series are so fabulous...!

I'm slowly building a collection of all the books in this series. My daughter is a big fan of the sparkly cover. There are also a lot references inside the books to other fairy tales, which my daughter has a fun time pointing out as well. I wouldn't say this is a particularly feminist book, but the main character - Kittie Lacey - is one super hip hairdresser.

What a fun read and the illustrations and simply beautiful. My 5 and 3 year old girls LOVE all her books.

This book is adorable! It's a little girl book with lots of glitter and detail that girls would like. Saying that, my son likes it too! The illustrations are really beautiful. So many details and characters from many different favourite stories kids read! My kids love pouring over the books and looking at the pictures.Kittie Lacey, the best hairdresser in the world has a stylish and smart salon right in the middle of town. One day Prince Florian, a garden designer comes to her shop. Kittie has a garden behind her shop that needs trimming. The story takes off from there. It is sleeping beauty with a twist!Love the story. Love the illustrations. I am buying more books from this author!

Love these books. Great quality and lovely stories. Bought for my 6 year old daughter and she loves princesses and hairdressing etc...

My 4 year old daughter never tires of me reading these books to her, she always manages to point out different things we've missed in the pictures as there's so much to look at on each page!
