Herm Sprenger19" Neck-tech Nylon Style with Security Buckle and Black Finish, One Size

I have bought dozens of the of the Herm Sprenger products, for years I just got the choke collars for training my dogs. But with age I have been buying the prong collars. This collar is excellent made with sure fitting prongs, I sent it back not because there was a manufacture problem, but because I purchased the wrong one. I needed a collar with the prongs completely hidden. I found one and am extremely pleased. It is also a Herm Sprenger collar.

I like that the collar works well for training my 50 lb. puppies not to pull on the leash while walking and is helping me train them to heel. I had a few falls when my puppies jerked hard on the leash using a regular choke style collar and pulled me down since they so strong. The prong collar does it's job well to show the pups that I'm in charge not them. I highly recommend!

Love it! I currently use this collar. My training coach recommended it since I didn’t want a full prong collar. My husky/aussie listens to my commands during walks.Only advice, if I don’t push the plastic clip over the release button if she pulls hard (beginning of official training) the collar popped off. I now clip to her main collar too just in case it pops off I still have control of her.

This collar is well built. It's just very heavy and clunky for my dog (44 lbs). Not good for smaller dogs, but would probably be good for a larger dog. I like the concept.

I bought this for the odd occasion when I needed more control on our dog. This works perfectly, she stops pulling immediately and I really don't need to pull on the leash/collar at all. By the nature of her pulling she feels it and backs off. This looks really nice, finish is dark metal and you can't see the spikes on the collar like on other training collars. There were no instructions on how to remove joints in the collar but with some common sense and if you are good with tools and your hands it's no big deal. They are pretty proud of this collar, not cheap but made very well. I'm very pleased with this.

I love this as a training collar. My dog responds much better to this than a choke collar. I know some people don't like the "pinch" collars but from years of training bird dogs, I can tell you it is much more humane to gently pinch your dog to achieve correction than it is to choke your dog. I mean would you rather receive a slight pinch or would you rather be choked? The Herm Sprenger collar is the best in my opinion and I like the one with the easy to use clasp.

I bought one 4 years ago for one of my dogs and I STILL use it, as if new and NO one harasses me about using a prong anymore when in public (I require a service dog). Now, I have my second service dog but is a different size, so I wanted her to have her own plus in black. Cooler looking. :)

I have two Weimaraners. These prong collars work extremely well for my dogs as the breed is known for having very short fur, so the prong contact is unimpeded. They do a lot of swimming and these collars don't rust so it's a win win for me. I'm 125 pounds and I can walk almost 200 pounds of dogs with one hand. I haven't found anything better. I do not have to correct either one as they seem to know when they have reached the end of their leashes. It works on a 6 foot leash as well as a 32 foot leash. They can go and investigate and I don't worry about them getting out of control.

So nice to have a prong collar that's easy to get on and off, works about the same as the regular one as far as preventing pulling without all the grief, and it has a slide lock on it so you know it's secure.
