when use with smart TV this cable requires an RCA to HDMI converter.

Just what I needed to plug in on the TV
I got a TV that didn't match up with the DVD player I had. I wasn't ready to give up the DVDs my late husband had and also my workouts so I had to get the conversion plug. It worked out great so I am happy
