Q: When do you put the plant food in the dirt?

During the growing season only (from late March thru early August), fertilize your citrus plant with a liquid, organic fertilizer – such as liquid kelp, seaweed, or fish emulsion – or an organic granular fertilizer every two to three weeks. Do not fertilize in the winter when new growth should not be encouraged.

Q: Container. I plan on repotting into a container that will reside on my patio, what size (cu feet) do I need, & how long from arrival to reporting?

I waited about 3 weeks before i put my tree into a 12 inch container. The less times you repot the plant the better. By 12 inch pot i mean 12 inches wide by 10-12 inches deep.

Hello, No, these trees are grown from the seeds of the fruit from our mature meyer lemon trees. Gerald

Q: How long before i see fruit?

Thank you for your question. Depending on whether the tree is planted inside or outside, fruit can be expected to be seen in about 2 - 2.5 years on average. It can be sooner if the growing conditions are optimal, but even indoors it will still produce fruit in time. Thank you. Gerald
