I do like this pole that has been in place for two years now. I failed to realize that it doesnt use a rope to raise and lower the flag but that the flag remains attached to the top sectionof the pole. I have found it impossible to twist the sections to retract the telescope even when using pipe wrenches so have to slide the pole out of the ground. I have a plastic sleeve in the ground that the pole slides into so it's not too difficult. But it is impossible to set the flag at have staff for times of mourning. I may consider installing a rope and pully at some point.The flag lasted a little over two years before the right edge seam began to detach and allow some noticeable fraying requiring replacement. There were many days of heavy winds whipping the flag so I was pleased with its performance.

The picture in the listing says the tubing material is 1.5mm thick. The description says that it is 14 gauge. It is neither. 14 gauge aluminum is 1.6281mm thick. As shown in the attached picture of what I received, the tubing is actually just shy of 1mm thick - 45% thinner than the 14 gauge that the listing says the tubing wall is.I purchased the 25' flagpole. Fully extended, the pole only measures 23' 7/16" as shown in the attached picture. There are five sections to this pole. Each section measures under 5' in length. - see picture. Even if these sections were placed end-to-end they would not total 25'. To improve the strength at each of the joints I don't want to fully extend each section, plus 20" of the pole will be underground. What is left is almost exactly 20' of pole height. This will work for me, but it is not the 25' that is advertised in this listing.I've begun the installation of this pole before realizing these inaccuracies, so I am going to move forward with this and hope for the best.Update: The locking mechanism for the telescoping sections can lock very tight. It is important not to overtighten. When loosening sections to lower the pole, be sure not to tighten the lower section as you are loosening the upper section.The poles sold at this price point all appear to be very similar. I had concerns about this pole but found the customer service to be outstanding.

Loved the look of the pole with flags and we purchased the light...But I don't like the fact we can't unlock the sections to take the flags down when needed...Also we just had a small thunder storm with very little wind and the pole bend in half and fell to the ground...I wouldn't buy it again for that reason...We are very dissappointed considering the cost of the assembly and used only a few months (3months). It's only guaranteed for 30days I think,Loved the flagpole and light...It is stunning with the american flag, and Air Force flag together flying in the breeze..My husband retired from the Air Force after 23 years and we are very patriotic..

I ordered this pole because my husband has been saying that we need one because the one sticking off of our house was not very practical. I decided to give this one a try and it turned out great. This is a very sturdy and well made pole that can really withstand the elements. We live in Maine and the weather can be brutal at times so seeing how this pole has been handling it so far gives me hope that it will last for quite a while. The installation process is simple and easy and doesn’t take long at all. My husband was able to do quickly and with minimal effort. The quality seems to be really good and I was not able to find any defects or issues with it. The pole comes with everything you may need including an actual flag. Overall, we like this product very much and are completely satisfied with this purchase.

The flagpole is marketed as being heavy duty. I wish the manufacturer would put an inner plug or liner at the base of the pole, especially at the found surface where the bending force is the greatest. There was a very short inner core as best as I could determine when I purchased it but not at the ground level where it is most important. The storm was not major and no tree branches or anything else on our property was damaged by wind. And the company markets it as being sturdy enough for two flags. We only had one flag on the pole when it bent over. It would not be difficult to make the flagpole sturdier. I am disappointed.

Bought this in March or 2024. I really happy with it. I have taken it down before heavy storms. Comes down very easy as long as you do not over tighten it. Doesn't need to be twisted much to tighten. Seems to be a great design. As long as it holds up over the years I think it will be well worth the $ I spent.
