I broke my back on 12th July after a heavy fall, had emergency spinal fixation and was left unable to bend and dealing with severe pain. This has been hugely challenging, physically and emotionally. This grabber was the best £8.99 I spent in my life. It's very lightweight, but feels sturdy and robust. It's very easy and comfortable to use, and can reliably pick up things as small as a cotton bud or a button, but is also strong enough to lift a sneaker, or a full handbag. The prongs are the perfect size and the rubber ends grip securely. Slightly risky, but I've even had enough confidence in it to remove full size dinner plates and mugs from the dishwasher!! Putting shoes and socks on is difficult, and I've used it to put on and pull up my socks!! It confers dexterity as well as strength - I can position the prongs of a plug in the socket and nudge the plug into place with my foot. I take it with me wherever I go, at the moment. You don't realise how often in a day you drop things until you are no longer able to pick them up. This item has made a huge difference to my morale and recovery, saving me from frustration and helping to restore independence. Delighted to support a small business in the UK as well. After getting frustrated with a similar item I ordered this grabber and very pleased with it's build quality and ability to pick up things with ease. I use this a lot for retrieving paper from my printer as it's difficult to reach without struggling due to mobility issues. This grabber is quite long with a nice rubberised handle and firm closure claw. I have no problems picking up thin items like sheets of paper or reaching things on the top of shelves and cabinets so it has become a must have, well used item!

This is a wonderful device. I have reached an age where bending down is a real problem. These have made a remarkable difference in my life. I have not fallen over since I brought them. They are very sturdy, and the jaws can be very delicate when needed, I can pick up sheets of paper with mine, but they can also be quite firm when needed and can pick up really quite heavy things. The only thing is, my fault, I went all "Grrr Manly" when I ordered them and I ordered the biggest ones, which are really too long at 43" I should gone for 32" or even the 26", what a silly old fool am I. I am finding one set is not enough so I am going to get another set, but I have learnt my lesson and will get the 32" ones. ;-)

I bought this litter picker for my little boy three years ago, and it’s honestly one of the best small purchases I’ve ever made. It’s been very well used and still works well. The size is absolutely spot on for little hands, making it easy for him to grab things confidently without getting frustrated. Beyond the quality, it’s been such a brilliant tool for his development. It’s helped his motor skills, coordination, and confidence, and it keeps him happily occupied on long walks. Even better, it’s become a lovely way to teach him about caring for Mother Nature. We go on regular litter-picking walks, and so many people have stopped us to say thank you to him — it’s been a real heart‑warming experience. The video I took today shows it still working just as well as the day we bought it. Highly recommend for any little eco‑warrior in the making.

I am an overweight pensioner, and I have arthritis in my knees and hips. It is too painful and unsafe for me to bend to reach the floor, because when I do, I cannot breathe, and I lose my balance, falling over. I drop things a lot. Sometimes it seems as if my hands have a mind of their own, and when they let go of things, it is very frustrating, because I have to pick them up. Things I regularly drop are pills, cutlery, food items, incontinence pads, incontinence sacks, socks, bed pads, screws, and much more. Because of this, I have a grabber in nearly every room in the house. I suffer from bladder and bowel incontinence, so I spend a lot of painful time in the bathroom. I often need to get dressed in the bathroom, which means I need an aid to pick up socks, underwear, shorts, pad sacks toilet roll inserts etc, from the bathroom floor. My bathroom grabber broke, so I had to buy a new one, and found this on Amazon. I ordered it on a Saturday, and it arrived on Monday. It was well packaged and arrived in pristine condition. I keep it hanging up on my bathroom wall. It has a handy hole for hanging on a nail or hook. It is far more robust than any I have bought in the past, and it is three inches longer too. I like this grabber stick a lot and will be replacing my other ones with this model when they break. Definitely worth five stars to me, and highly recommended.

I bought this for an activity picking up beanbags and 8 times out of 10 it grabbed it and held without fail But for it’s intended use for cereal boxes at about 375g getting it down was fine but it struggles at putting em back to high places For thick enough cylinders like cans (like beans)if you get it in the well of the grabber you can keep hold of it but trying to pry from the grabber tips is tricky to it falls off/out with momentum For thin cylinders like aerosols room freshener then it’s a no go and struggles holding it and in the well it’s to big to hold em in the grabber well After using this on picking up items about 400g for a few minutes it was making my hand cramp up and stiff with fully pulling on the handle and moving the item If your using this for litter picking then you will be fine I say just avoid the thin/small glass bottles In all it’s got its pros and cons it’s just what your going to use if for

I love it! Arthritis and grip problems means I drop lots of things and can't bend down to pick them up. This grabber is so well made, with no sharp edges, it feels solid but is light and it also folds up easily. Because both " jaws" of the grabber move, you can pick up quite tiny things. I love it so much I've been around the house dropping things on purpose to pick them up!😂. One tiny cat biscuit for example and a small pencil. I've not got a lot to smile about because of severe mobility issues but this new tool ( toy?) is just brilliant, and it's a great price too. I wish I'd bought one before. 100%...don't hesitate.
