I first got the Satin color in this loose mineral powder. It was lighter than I thought it would be, although not bad to wear during the winter months. My face has more of a porcelain color in the winter. However, I also can sometimes have some red undertones. Therefore, I bought the warm sienna and love it! It covers red undertones very well and is a very nice color on my skin. It took me a while to learn how to apply this make-up without it caking in creases, and still sometimes it can cake a bit in the creases under my eyes if I'm not careful with my application of it. I apply a tented moisturizer with sunscreen after any serums. I then fully load the bottom of the brush with this loose mineral powder. Then I strongly tap off any excess powder from the bush. I start at the forehead and apply with downward strokes. I end by applying it to my neck and decolletage. It doesn't take very much of the powder on the brush to cover well. It stays on very well. I like the way it feels on my skin, and it seems quite soothing to my skin.

I learned of Jane Iredale loose mineral powder from my esthetician several years ago, and I've been using it ever since. (My sister uses the pressed mineral powder, which is the same product pressed into a compact.) I start with sunscreen and under eye brightener, then do a quick dusting of the mineral powder base over my face with a large, soft makeup brush. It couldn't be quicker to apply foundation! This mineral powder base contains SPF as well, so I feel I have good sun protection. Amazing Base is "buildable", so if you want more coverage, just apply another dusting of the powder. I find the coverage very natural looking, and it evens out my coloring. As the powder is warmed by your skin, it becomes creamier looking. It wears beautifully, staying fresh looking all day - even in summer, when liquid foundation can "melt". A nice features for the jar is the sifter cover underneath the cap: it has many perforations, and you decide how many of them you want to poke open with the point of a scissor, enabling you to customize how much of the powder is dispensed with each shake of the jar. You shake shake a portion of powder into the jar's lid, swirl your makeup brush into the powder to distribute it evenly over the brush's surface, then tap off the excess powder right back into the lid before stroking the powder over your face. I find that a jar of Jane Iredale Amazing Base lasts quite a long time, so I feel it is a good value. Because it's a powder, it's also easy to see when the product is running out - something I found difficult to determine when I used liquid foundation, because the foundation would "dye" the sides of the bottle. Having worn makeup for more than forty years, I truly think this is a great product for any age and any skin type.

I am not normally a powder foundation user and gravitate towards lighter coverage that a tinted foundation would offer. I don't know what compelled me to buy a powder foundation, but I got sucked in and tried it. The color match is perfect. I bought Warm Silk and am normally a MAC NC20 (light with neutral undertones). I prefer a slightly yellower, warmer finish. The coverage is medium to buildable up to full, so I go with a light hand and it gives my skin but better finish. I live in a pretty dry climate and this doesn't seem to exasperate my already dry skin. If I'm feeling particularly dry however, I put a little of this in my palm and mix with a hyaluronic acid from The Ordinary and blend with a foundation brush to avoid any streaks. Would buy again!

I LOVE LOVE JANE IREDALE Mineral Powder Foundation. Its so soft, light and doesn't look like a mask. I was a Mary Kay girl for over 35 years; they discontinued my mineral powder foundation. I am so thrilled that a friend recommended JI mineral powder foundation to me!

The product I received is authentic. I've used this makeup for several years and I can't recommend it enough. You can customize the coverage you want by using more or less of it. Whether you apply 1 pass or 3-4 passes, you're skin always looks natural, flawless and glowing. Seriously, it's amazing! I alternate between the loose powder and the pressed powder, depending on the time of year. Each color comes in both options. The loose powder is supposedly better for oily skin, but my experience has been that both formulas work very fell for any skin type. The loose powder will always be slightly darker than that same color in the pressed powder. For example, my color is Radiant so in the summer when my face has more color I use the Radiant loose powder, and in the winter I use Radiant pressed powder. The Jane Iredale setting spray really is necessary to "activate" the makeup and get the flawless finish. It will also make it so that your makeup lasts practically all day. Sometimes I'll spray my face again midday to freshen it up, but I never have to reapply or touch up my makeup. So yeah, this makeup rocks, and it's healthy for your skin on top of everything else

I never write a review but I must share my opinion. A powder back in the day was wonderful and I have been searching for 20 years to find one like it. Honestly this powder is exactly like the above mentioned. You won't need makeup with this powder and the powder does not settle in those pesky lines. A very small amount goes a looong way so be careful not to overdo. On the fence? Try it, you can return if you don't like.

One of the best powders out there. This powder fits light ivory to light beige skin tones. It doesn't cake on, but I notice in Texas weather and humidity it needs to be reapplied at least once at the end of the day. The powder is light and feels good on the skin, it blends and covers very well. I have combination skin and it doesn't cause me to break out at all.

Perfect color! Wish there was a less messy version as the loose you lose so much product.

I have ordered warm silk shade, which is great for my skin color, but I received a delivery where on the sticker it says warm silk, however the actual powder box says the shade is radiant, and its a bit red and darker than my skin, I have ordered the replacement, but never received my new loose powder

Bestest Mineralpuder was ich je benutzt habe. Der Farbton passt sich der Haut an und wenn man sich Abends mal nicht abschminkt ist auch nicht schlimm. Die Mineralstoffe geben der Haut was es braucht.

Diesen Puder mit Lichtschutzfaktor benutze ich schon seit vielen Jahren. Er ist sehr angenehm auf empfindlicher Haut. Fältchen und Verfärbungen werden zuverlässig kaschiert. Das lose Puder gefällt mir besser als das gepresste, da ich das Glas fest verschließen kann.
