No, all of the oil is contained in the unit itself. There should be no oil or grease outside of that. The oil has to be poured from the unit when replacing.

Few pounds can be fried at the same time ? It can fry a chicken 4 pounds and 1 pound of potatoes at the same time ? Thanks in advance

It can fry quite a bit at once but you won't be able to fry 4lbs of chicken and 1lb of potatoes at once, but it holds a lot. I've cooked chicken breasts in it and depending on size you can get 4-6 in at once in the big frying basket. 1 lb of potatoes would go in the big basket just fine though.
