EUHOMY 37QT 12 Volt Refrigerator, -4℉~68℉ Portable Fridge for Car

I have used this fridge exclusively for almost two months while traveling on the road. It works very well. Cools quickly, is relatively quiet, and allows me to have cold drinks, butter, salads. It holds plenty, and just works. I run it off a secondary battery when boon-docking, and have had it disconnected from AC power for over 24 hours and it never drained the battery. I don't think it draws too much current? I'm going to use it as a fridge in a cabin, so I'm trying to find a link to purchase a second power supply since I modified the first one and it's part of my van's electrical system now.One more comment: they tell you that you can freeze some stuff but this is the reality - the larger section is the main temperature controlled area, the much smaller adjacent area doesn't appear to be actively chilled. So, you put stuff in the smaller area that you don't need as cold, like bread, or water, fruits, medicine. It stays cool, just not cold. If you set the main area up to freeze, I have no doubt it will, and the adjacent area will work well for unfrozen stuff. But, I personally prefer to use the larger area as a fridge, so I really don't have a "freezer" with this unit.

Much more than a Portable RefrigeratorI originally purchased the **EUHOMY 12 Volt Refrigerator, 48QT** for one purpose—a Fourth of July beach trip. My plan was to use it for that weekend and then occasionally for grocery runs or future road trips.Then life threw us a curveball.While we were away for the holiday, our refrigerator at home failed. When we got back, we suddenly had no working refrigerator while waiting for replacement parts and repairs.What was supposed to be a portable cooler suddenly became our family's primary refrigerator.For nearly three weeks now, this EUHOMY refrigerator has been running **24 hours a day, 7 days a week**, keeping our milk, dairy products, lunch meats, drinks, and other refrigerated items perfectly cold. It has maintained its temperature without issue and has never skipped a beat.I never expected a portable 12-volt refrigerator to be capable of handling full-time household duty, but this one has exceeded every expectation I had. It has turned what could have been a very stressful situation into little more than an inconvenience.The build quality is excellent, the controls are simple to use, it cools quickly, and most importantly, it has proven to be incredibly reliable. In my opinion, the true measure of a product isn't how it performs when everything goes according to plan—it's how it performs when you unexpectedly have to depend on it. This refrigerator passed that test with flying colors.If you're on the fence about purchasing the EUHOMY 48QT, I can honestly say it has earned my complete confidence. What started as a purchase for a weekend beach trip ended up saving us while our kitchen refrigerator was out of commission.I couldn't be happier with this purchase and would recommend it without hesitation.

Just got the Euhomy Car Refrigerator Model CF-55. (June 2021 in North Carolina, Outside temp 72-85F)It arrived 2 days earlier than expected. The Fedex people unfortunately left it on its side, so I had to take it out and set it upright for about 24 hours before using. Started up fine.TESTING IN MY LIVING ROOM (AC set to 78F). Set the Euhomy Frig to 34 degrees F to cool down drinks for a party. Loaded it up with soda and water. After 1 hour, the unit's internal temp was nice and cold at 34F, but it still took another another hour or so for the initially room temperature cans and bottles to be thoroughly chilly. After that, the drinks are perfectly cold for a hot day (thumbs up from the kids!). It's much more efficient when the frig is full of cold drinks/food. Pretty solid performance overall.POWER. In the above scenario, I tested it using AC (from the wall) and DC (using an external battery's DC port). On AC, it can draw 60 watts/hr at first when starting at room temp. After it reached its target temperature, the compressor cycles off and on. With DC, when the compressor is on, it is then around 40 watts/hr to maintain (in ECO mode). I left it running overnight connected to my battery via the DC port, and it was a negligible draw, less than 100 watts total (But the already cold drinks filling the unit helped it stay cool efficiently).DETAILED APP INSTRUCTIONS. It's not hard but might be confusing at first.Here are detailed steps to INSTALL and USE...1. Plug in the Euhomy frig (the LCD screen on unit should have a Bluetooth symbol at upper left)2. Download the Alpicool "Car Fridge Freezer" (I just searched iOS store for "Alpicool" to see its apps)3. Open the "Car Fridge Freezer" app4. On the App: Click on "Start Scanning" (button near bottom). Takes about 20 seconds...5. On the App: Double-click on the rectangular button that appears. It says "A1-4XXXXXXXXXX"6. Within 5 seconds, on the Frig LCD screen, press the SETTINGS button (looks like a gear) once.7. The App should now switch to its main operating screen-You can see INFO (top half of screen): Current internal unit temp, Target temp, Voltage draw-Using the POWER Icon in upper right area, you can Turn your frig ON or OFF-You can set the target temperature by using the horizontal SLIDER in the middle-Using Bottom Buttons: You can also set to use ECO mode (uses less power, but is slower to reach target temp)-You can also set the LOCK button (this locks the unit's LCD screen from being pressed)-You can set to use Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees-You can click the UNPAIR button to disconnect your smartphone's connection to the frig bluetooth-You can set the cutoff voltage related to your car battery draw (High, Medium, or Low)Overall, I really like this unit and its app.PROS• It gets the temperature cold pretty fast and stays icy cold.• It can hold 55L (or 58 quarts) of capacity (which is pretty huge)• It seems very efficient when drawing off DC on a portable battery or car battery. It sips power overnight.• The app is simple but useful (especially if one is driving and wants to check on the unit in the back)• The price is awesome (low $300's) when compared to big name units ($600+)CONS• It can get a little heavy (30 pounds +) to carry around if you are camping. I just bought a cheap $10 wheeled platform from Harbor Freight to use with this when it's fully loaded.• It is bulkier than a normal non-powered cooler, but if you're like me, I bought it for its extra large capacity, so I can't complain about it. I have to remember to keep the air vents clear around the unit when it is in the car, so that it won't overheat.• The app works, but I really wish they included instructions on it installation and use in the manual. The manual has no details at all. Had to google search for it (That's why I added detailed instructions to my review)Can't say anything about its sturdiness at this point, but its looks and feels pretty solid. I will update if there are any problems in its long-term performance.

Gets cold fast! Took only 15 min to go from 78F to 30F, like the light inside and that the controls are on the opening end. Will be using in the SUV and at home . Gave 4 stars only because need more time to review.

I absolutely love this portable fridge! It cools quickly, keeps everything cold, and has been very reliable.We've used it on several road trips, including bringing home takeout from our favorite restaurants after a 9 hour drive, and the food was still fresh and delicious when we got home. We also make 3-hour trips to buy fresh fish and seafood, and it keeps everything perfectly cold on the drive back.I recently brought it on a drive to a conference in a different state, and several of my colleagues were so impressed that they said they were going to buy one too.I also like that it's spacious without taking up too much room in the vehicle. The app control is convenient, making it easy to check or adjust the temperature and it's surprisingly quiet while running.

We use this cooler camping our. Obviously, it needs to be protected from rain and or water. It started cooling when we plugged in. Inside half a hour it cooled to 18 degrees F. I like the small freezer. Also, I like the baskets in the cooler section. This will save money in food thrown out. As of now it has worked for 18 hours. I will rate this as a 5 star. I will also report more later.It is now day 2 This mnorning I put 11 liters of water. I set the temp at -4 degrees F and let it run now for 13 hours. The water is now about 1/2 frozen. This tell me that this freezer is okay for keeping things cool. But, it may not be good from a standing start. I would cool anything I want ahead of time before I use this cooler. Also yeaterday I placed two gallons of cool drinks in the cooler last night and 2 ice trays in the 'freezing compartment. I had sonfigured the cooler to what I thought was reasonable. The cooler would cycle between the interior temperature (41) degrees F then down to 22 the compressor would then turn off. The temp display would them raise slowly back to 41 where the compressor would restare. It cycled this way several times before I set it back to the Factory settings. When I checked the Ice trays they had thawed about 1/2. The cool drinks seemed to still be cool enough to drink. Where it would cool to a set temperature and hold. I used the factory settings in starting my test this morning. So, I would suggest the Factory settings are more optimal. Don't worry too much about things freezing. And, that the 'freezing compartment does not seem to become any colder than the larger compartment. It has run for 13 hours straignt and is holding a -1 F temp., so I would keep this cooler at a 5 stars.Follow-up: Once the water was frozen, I placed a hard frozen liter in the 'small' well. I thought that this well would be cooler than the large. I found that this is not the case. I set the temp. to 20 degreesF ( I had been told this was a good temp. for Ice-cream). Over the course of 2 days the water containers in the large well remained frozen. The measured temp. was 28 F. But, the small well thawed. The measured temp 40 F At this time, the liter has a thin piece of ice in the center and the rest of the water is thawed. The temp. given by the cooler display is 20. So, the instruction manual does not share this. If I need to keep food thawed and not frozen, the small well is the place. Regards

I bought two of these refrigerators fully expecting them to fail quickly because of their pricepoint. I just needed something to hold a few months of provisions. I started by using them as a freezer for a few months on a sailboat for 9 months as I sailed in the tropical. This is a highly corrosive, hot, and humid environment, where anything metal will start oxidizing and any moving parts will start to fail. Additionally these coolers were tilted almost constantly and sometimes up to 20 degrees for days at a time. I ran these coolers at -4°F (-20°C) more often then not without them ever failing. They used less power than the refrigerator/freezer on the boat, so when supplies started to dwindle I phased out the boat unit and used these coolers instead.After 9 months of use the only failure I had was one of the 12V plugs melted. I think this was more related to the plug being a little jarred in the slot than a manufacturing issue, but the 12V wires run a little hot and I think they could probably size them just a little larger. In this case I just used the AC plug until I could fix the melted plug.After my boat trip I moved one of the coolers full of frozen fish into my car for a 2 week drive across the US and Canada. Again the cooler worked flawlessly.The coolers are lightweight compared to other units I have picked up in the past. It is worth noting there is a large main compartment where the cooling plates are located and a small white compartment near the hinge. Even when using the cooler as a freezer the small compartment will run warmer and should only be used for refrigeration (it won't freeze). There is also a small light inside the unit that illuminates the interior reliably when the cooler is opened.I would absolutely buy one of these units again if I needed to. I have used it in conditions where I wouldn't expect a unit that costs much more to survive (boats break everything), yet it keeps going. I highly recommend this product.

I am giving this a three star review because stuff goes wrong, and it was essentially DOA. However, I don't know if this is obviously the fault of the company, so giving a benefit of the doubt.I received this, left it in the box, placed it on a surface for several days to ensure the refrigerant was settled. Then, I took it out of the box, let it sit for a period of time, then turned it on. I was scratching my head why, when connected to my Jackery, that it took 0-1 watts as per Jackery's wattage display. I left the fridge on on, and came back after an hour, and the Jackery was still at 100%. I checked the fan, it is on, but blowing cold air, the same temperature as the air around it.I went through basic troubleshooting, checked the app to make sure it was cooling, and it was set on -4ºF, the lowest setting without going into the E1 setting and programming it.One odd point, I looked at the LED, and it seemed one of the LEDs was out in the lamp. Minor, but notable.I reset the fridge, just in case something was glitched in the settings, nothing changed. The fan spun quietly, but it made no liquid gurgling noise in all the time I used it, and there was no compressor noise.About 12 hours later, the temperature did not budge and definitely was not any colder than when I placed it on the table as per a thermometer. It had guaranteed power from a battery bank.I let it sit for a few hours, tried again, same result -- no cooling whatsoever, and no audible sloshing of refrigerant, ever, which is a telltale sign that the compressor is not working.I tried it on both 120 volt AC, via the adapter, and 12 volts DC, via a regulated adapter on the Jackery power bank. In any case, the display on the refrigerator showed the proper voltage, so it was not lack of power.Since a dead compressor or lack of refrigerant isn't something easily fixed by customer support, I decided not to engage them, because this isn't something easily fixable, so I sent it back. Had I just tossed my food into it, I would have been out a good chunk of change. I also needed the fridge for use these weekends, and reading other reviews of people not pleased with customer support, and the fact that I need a working fridge like... yesterday, I decided to skip all that, return this, and go for a different make/model.Will I give this a 1-star review? Not really, because stuff happens and that is why there is a return policy. However, I do want to note that one should get the fridge out of its packaging, let the fridge sit for a day, plug it in, set the temperature via its control panel or the app, let it get to temperature, and listen for the compressor doing its job. If just the fan runs, and the air coming out of the fan is just as cold as going inAs for the app, having it require an account be created and want location settings, is concerning, privacy-wise. Why do I need to authenticate with a mother ship so I can adjust a fridge's temperature? The fact that any jokester could pair to the fridge and lock the control panel is a concern too, especially in a crowded area like a festival where you have a lot of people running around with Bluetooth scanners and looking for things to mess with.I had high hopes for the refrigerator, because even running at 45 watts constantly, my battery bank can handle that, and other people praised the fridge as being quite effective at keeping stuff cool. If it did work, I'd probably go for the insulating bag that is an option to further help with keeping stuff at a good temperature. However, when it goes for hours and hours without lowering the internal temperature by a single degree, no refrigerant noises happen, and the air leaving the evaporator unit is the same temperature as it coming in, that was a great disappointment.Again, not leaving a one star review, as mistakes do happen, but disappointed.
