Excellent taste and texture, best gummies!
These are the best tasting gummies and no sugar! I never liked any gummies before I found these, just love them! I use these as tiny snacks during the day and also to keep chronic constipation away. I set a number of gummies in a box so I don't finish the whole bag and that's too much.... These cause me no bloating like some sugarfree candies do, also these have less acid, a concern with tooth enamel erosion. Just wish these little bears would be made with natural foodcolors.

They're so worth the farts that I still subscribed!
TLDR: Pricey but the best sugar free gummies I have ever had, and honestly, one of the best gummy bears I've ever had, normal sugar included! The ONLY con is the cost, but that's why they taste so good - they're not cheaply made. ----- First of all, they taste amazing. I swear, you could put them in front of anyone and they'd never know these weren't anything other than really good gummy bears. Secondly... (probably a little TMI coming, so fair warning) but, I deal with pretty bad constipation normally, so I wasn't too worried about the gastric side effect some people have when consuming these or products made with these sugar substitutes in general. I was partly right. As I predicted, they didn't give me diarrhea or really change my bowel movements in any way. Still just as constipated haha. The only side effect I got was increased gas. That said, I'm talking *extremely* increased gas, lol. TBH I'm just not a gaseous person in general; I don't fart much at all. But when I eat them, these things have me farting *constantly*. And of course the more I eat in a short period of time, the worse the gas gets. Thankfully there's no smell and it's just me on my own, so I don't particularly care. It doesn't really affect my day much, but it can be annoying if you're out or with people. I'd suggest that if you know you're going out that day, maybe just don't eat them that day, or only take a couple. (If you're more sensitive to these than I am though, just don't take any, lol.) Anyway, that's it, really. I definitely recommend these. I mean, I don't even care about the sugar free part of it - they're that good that I'd still recommend them to any gummy bear-lovers. Now that I've had these, I'm definitely going to try a few others they have. When I ordered these, I also ordered sugar free gummies from another brand that also has near 5 stars. I tried those first and hated them so I was really worried these would suck too, but nope. It's good though, now I know which company I'm going to stick with, haha. Farts be damned! 9/10, will do again. As I said in the beginning though, it does have ONE con, and that's its quite high cost for such small bags. But then again, that's why you get the quality with these, rather than the crap from the others.

Diabetics beware: Uses Maltitol Syrup (High Glycemic Index of around 52). This is not "sugar free".
Zero stars (not even one). Buyers should note that the main ingredient and primary sweetener in these "sugar-free" gummy bears is Maltitol syrup. Maltitol syrup actually has a Glycemic Index (GI) of around 52, which is very close to regular table sugar (GI of 60โ65). This Albanese Candy company claiming these are Sugar Free couldn't be further from the truth. These gummy bears are not Sugar Free in how they affect the body. As a Type 1 diabetic, I monitored my blood sugar after eating these and experienced a dramatic spike. Taking the "sugar-free" label at face value without dosing properly can cause a major glycemic disruption, whether you're diabetic, following a specific keto/paleo diet, or just trying to eat healthier. Marketing these as a safe "sugar-free" alternative feels highly misleading for people who must carefully track their glycemic load. I will not purchase these again or support this product or brand. WARNING / NOTICE: For me these also caused extreme flatulence/gassiness. You have been warned. Consume at your own risk.

Better tasting than the competition but does have side effects
I originally bought a different sugar-free gummy bear, with healthier ingredients, but the price point was expensive and the gummy bears (from the competitor) were hard and tasteless. These Albanese gummy bears taste much better than the competing brand and are almost as good as the original Albanese gummy bears. That said, I usually have a strong stomach and these still had a "moving" side effect (as other reviewers have stated, this is a great-tasting laxative.) I will definitely keep buying these, but at least knowing the side effects keep me from eating very many at a time. Update 7/27/19: Unintentional prank, and Albanese needs to consider a more clear "sugar free" or "laxative effect" label So, I didn't realize that these aren't clearly labeled as "sugar free" or "laxative effect". I put these in the same drawer as my other snacks/treats without thinking. Kids came home from college and went for their regular Albanese gummies that I keep in the same drawer (both bears and worms). These just have a tiny indication in the corner that they are sugar free. They don't taste different, but have very different results. I don't need to go into details, but everyone in the house is much more careful now in which gummies they grab. Albanese should really consider a larger sticker or warning on these.

Risk of intestinal discomfort is real.
First and foremost, please consume these in moderation at least untill you know how they may affect you. I bought this for the diabetic in the house who is a sweets addict and particularly loves gummies. After seeing the reviews, I cautioned them about eating too much because of possible laxitive/gas complications. Of course they promptly ignored me and ate a whole pouch (3x recommended servings) in one go. This was followed by hours of some pretty severe diarrhea and gas/bloating. Talking on the level of colonoscopy prep here! On the positive side, they certainly liked the taste and considered them on par with the regular variety that has sugar. If your digestive tract can handle it, this might be a very good alternative to the sugary version. Though I do wonder why sugar free candies aren't sweetened with things like pectin, which is often used for gummy supplements and has no artificial sweetener taste. Maybe manufacturing costs are too high to be viable for candies. *shrug* On a side note, make sure to check your order right away when delivered. We initially received a single pouch instead of a box of 12 (which would make the price per serving higher than designer chocolate truffles). Being that these are a no-return item, it required going through customer service chat to get a replacement sent out.
