Besides the 3 "ExpressKeys" added in the H420, what other differences have been made with the Huion H420 compared to the older Huion 420?

I want to write over ppt slides/pdf docs, and be able to erase partially. Will the device work for me?

I haven't tried to write on a pdf doc myself so I'm not certain how it would function. But the tablet acts like a mouse with a pen, so as long as the program that you are using supports pen/drawing function, such as Microsoft one note or the latest version of PowerPoint, the tablet is compatable with the function (I just tried it with PowerPoint and OneNote and they both allow you to erase just part of a stroke). So in short, if the program already has the function, the tablet supports it. As far as I know, it doesn't add a drawing function to a program if it does not already support it.

I bought this tablet a while ago and lost the pen. I am buying a new Huion tablet that has a different pen, will it work for this one too?

Does the surface of this pad scratch easily?

Nope, had it for a while and still don't have any scratches at all. I also dropped it by mistake a few times and it still works well.
