Updated: Great product
Updating my previous review. The company reached out as my pair was part of a batch with some identified quality issues. The sent me a replacement pair and the new pair immediately feels like a sturdier / higher quality product. The mechanism to adjust the noise cancellation has a firm feel where the previous ones had little pushback on the sliders. The magnets are firmly in place on the outside and do not seem like they will fall out the way my old ones did. Time will tell the long term durability but I’ve had them for about a month using multiple times a week and overall am happy with them. I’m still not at a point where I trust wearing them around my neck with only the magnet attached to the string, but as a drummer I set them on my floor tom during rehearsal and they attach to the stick to the rim and stay out so I like the magnets for that purpose! ———————- old review ———————- These ear plugs were great while they lasted. Unfortunately like others the magnets fell off and eventually got lost within the first month. After a year of occasional use one whole earplug is in pieces. I want so badly to buy a new set but can’t bring myself to spend this much on a poor quality product again.

Build quality and durability is garbage
Review from a professional working musician: I bought these around the end of the 1st quarter of 2023 I would highly recommend you spring for custom grafted earplugs at this price point. I've used these on hundreds of gigs at this point and I wouldn't recommend them. The first thing to fall apart was the case, second were the magnets on the outside of the earplugs, the third was the entire housing of the right earplug. When that came apart, I had to fix it with an emergency tap solution on the bandstand to keep it intact. From a listening stand point, they do exactly as advertised with a really nice adjustable filter, but the build quality is so atrociously low that I wouldn't recommend anyone pick these up for serious use.

Excellent hearing protection
I am moderately hearing impaired, having lost about half my high frequency hearing over the past few years. Any sort of loud noise exposure further jeopardizes my hearing, causing severe ringing and then further hearing loss. I still love music though. Especially live music. I miss hearing music the way I used to. I don't have the fidelity I used to, but I still enjoy listening to all kinds of music and want to retain my current frequencies. So I just went to a concert with my new Minuendo protection. We were in the 6th row in a small venue. Three bands--3 1/2 hours of music. And at the end, my hearing was great and I had no extra tinnitus. The next day, no extra tinnitus and retained hearing. I used the adjustment on the plug throughout the concert, louder during talking, quieter during heavier hitting songs. And they were comfortable to wear. Yes, they cost more. But they're designed and made in Norway, not China. The quality is excellent, it comes with many different earplugs, and they do exactly what they're supposed to. I'm extremely pleased.

Design flaw and company not responsive.
I liked that there was a string holding them together so they were less likely to get lost, but the string would get tangled up or caught when I was couple-dancing. They are also magnatized so they stick together, but that turned out to be a problem. One of them broke in half from the magnet holding on too tight. They still work okay because the ear part still fits and you have a wide variety of ear pieces to try for the best fit. I noticed that they didn't muffle the music at all but made it more tolerable. The lever didn't seem to do anything. And when I wrote the company about it, I got no response. I didn't realize I had bought from Amazon. I considered buying again for black Friday, but it didn't seem worth the money. I actually found this to be a fraction of the cost, more comfortable and better. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BLSMQ2YF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Best Ear Protection I’ve used
These things are incredible. I’m an audio professional so ear protection is extremely important for me. The obvious things are fit (they provide many different cone types), comfort (they are for long periods of time), and the quality of the noise cancellation. These have a variable slider which allows for more or less intense reduction and they really do make a difference for different environments. I will say the magnets that hold them together caused the top piece to snap off of one of the earbuds so I sent in a picture to Minuendo and after confirming my purchase date they immediately sent out a new pair to me free of charge and I have not had the issue again. Love these and always recommend good hearing protection!

They are worth it
Yes, these are almost as much as buying a midrange IEM which scared me at first. It popped up as a flash sale and I took the plunge. I have other earplugs from multiple manufacturers and they are all decent, but the one thing in common those have is they are not adjustable for the most part to the Ambiant noise. I'm a drummer and most times I'm able to wear in ears which really helps me, I don't play as loud and my technique stays in tact. When I don't wear the inears and am in a practice or small gig environment, I was finding that depending on my placement to the rest of the band many times in a corner, all I could hear was myself and could not pick up on the rest of the band. (I'd have to play super soft all the time which was difficult), so I found that use earplugs would even out the sounds for me and I could play at the appropriate levels and dynamics. The problem is that with the one setting ear plugs some times they worked really well and other times not as well and I tried things like removing one etc. to try to compensate. These are GREAT!!! First of all as with the other types the tips make a difference. I have found foam to be the most sound reduction, but with this one I'm trying different tips at the gigs until I land on the one I like. The big thing on these is where you go from there. There are variable adjustments on each ear that you can easily make to allow as much or as little as you want. Though I always like a deal, knowing what I know now after using them I would have paid the tagged price is worth it!

As described
They reduce the decibels without losing clarity, expensive.

Just no
First, I open the box and one of them flies out, hits the floor and breaks. Apparently they are not secured in the packaging. The thing would not go back together, but it would sort of stick together using the pressure of my ear so I used them for the concert last night. Then after the concert, it turns out the rubber came off in my ear and was stuck. We had to use tweezers to get it out when we got home, and we’re lucky we were able to because it was so deep you could barely see it. They did about the same job at blocking the huge noise as eargasm. I cannot understand why these are $140 or whatever. It’s literally plastic. I thought there was some tech involved here, or something, considering the price point but my mistake. Do not recommend at all. They should cost $30 (I bet it costs them literally $3 to make this), and they apparently present a health hazard of getting things stuck deep in your ear.
