I really wish I liked these more. I love venison, I love jerky, I’m looking for keto snacks, this seemed like it would be perfect. Instead, it is an oddly salty, not terribly venison-y, soft textured flat “sausage”. Some times I learn more about what I might like in a product from a negative review, so if you are the kind of person who really likes slim Jim’s and other dried textured meat product mildly chewy things, and thinks I am nuts for not liking them, then definitely try these, and reinforce your opinion that I am just not capable of being sufficiently appreciative. If you like your dried meat products more like jerky in both texture and flavor, this is not for you either.

Have been buying these Venison Bars for several years. They are great to use when traveling, require no refrigeration, pop into your pocket, especially for long flights! Have tried different flavors and disliked all except this Venison version. They are dry and a little spicy so will need water but the low sugar and no dairy, and gluten make them a good fit for those of us with dietary challenges. Wonderful for camping, too. I pair them with Aloha Chocolate Mint bars which the Two Bars Together provides 26g Protein, 11g of Fiber and only 5g Sugar. There is a 750mg Sodium but ok unless you need to limit salt intake. Highly recommend Venison only version and Aloha Bars are incredibly tasty! The chocolate mint version of the Aloha bars will remind you of Girl Scout Cookies with only 5g of sugar and a whopping 10g of Fiber!

These are delicious venison bars. If you can’t eat game meat, please give these a shot and it will chage your mind. Such great texture, taste, and right amount of select ingredients! Packed well so it is oreserved really well also. They are super healthy and makes a great snack on hikes or on busy days when you can’t take a lunch break. Whole family chows down on these venison bars. Must try if you haven’t had one yet!

Product was delivered with a seal on it that said "this is a set, do not separate". That seal was sliced open and not secure. Also, the taste seems off. It has a nasty aftertaste. Won't buy again.

I used to work at Whole Foods, which is where I found these gems. Easily my favorite go to for breaks and quick lunches because of the quick, peppery, venison-y goodness. They had the best texture to make it feel like a substantial snack. For a while, I couldn't find them and it looked like Epic was transitioning everything to jerky strips. So I was overly excited when I found them on Amazon. Even moreso when they came and were everything I remembered. Here's where the 2 star review comes. I'm on my 3rd box and noticed the size was much smaller (see pictures) but thought nothing of it. After trying to finish the second one in this new batch, I realized there is something wrong. All dried meats like this will be salty, salting is literally one of the oldest ways to preserve meat. This ain't that. These ended up rubbery with the slightest meat flavor to go along with the salt. Looks like they shrunk enough for the salt to get overly concentrated and the meat to turn rough. I don't think there's any way to return the remaining 10, I've yet to reach out to Epic, but I have proof that this new batch with 22 May 2027 best by dates got messed up. EPIC, please reach out if you can.
