Hi W J Latham I can't give a definite answer to your question but they are the usual monkey nuts sold by various stores. I feed them to my garden wildlife (squirrels and birds) and have not encountered any problems. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Are these large size nuts

They are not huge, or jumbo sized, but are a decent size. Big enough to keep our African Grey happy.

These have a sort of weaved white thread. Not sure if that is plastic or not. Just wanted to check?

You would need to check with Superpet as to the composition of the delivery bags. I think, as you say, that it is weaved plastic.

Is the bag, used for the 5kg, recyclable?

I haven't used for over a year but they was in plastic bags then not recyclabe
