The tip is a very fine felt point and writes great on paper
The ink holds fast against acetone, ethanol, 2-propanol, and diethyl ether. It scrubs off from plastic or glass with acetone if you work at it, but I've soaked paper with this ink in the listed chemicals with no bleed or run. The tip is a very fine felt point and writes great on paper, glass, and LDPE plastic. These have replaced the discontinued Sharpie 13801 in my laboratory. I'll buy these forever.

The good thing about them is they have a fine tip
The description is inaccurate and I would not buy these pens. The good thing about them is they have a fine tip. They are NOT alcohol resistant which is part of the description. If you work in an environment where you have to disinfect your labeled tubes the writing comes right off. The price is high and the description is misleading.

Used to be great but not worth the price anymore
I use these in the clinical laboratory and can say that they hold up to methanol, alcohol and formalin. I don’t work with acetone so I can’t attest to the previous review that says the ink smears off with acetone. The ink is chemical resistant but maybe not to all chemicals. I would like to give five stars but the last pack that I got didn’t last long; the tips broke down quickly and a few of them dried up within a couple weeks. I love these markers and was going to give them another chance but the price has went up so much that I no longer feel it is worth it. No wonder my lab doesn’t supply them anymore.

Chemical resistant? No it's not! It rubs right off!
Fine tip is good but why beef them up when they aren't chemical resistant. Say fine tip. A fine tip does me no good!
