BombayFashions Women's Long Print Kaftan Abaya Long Sleeve Blouse

I got mine today. I am 5'2 and 153 lbs. I purchased a Large and it fit perfectly. The color was a little darker than the pic, which for me was good because it makes it look even nicer. Also, the material is a little thinner than I was expecting, but that makes it great for hot days. The stitching is also not as great as I would have hoped, but after reading the reviews, I already expected that. Overall, I don't have any real complaints. Considering the discounted cost and the fact that I was taking a huge risk after reading some of the past reviews, I'd have to say that I really like it a lot and intend on buying a few more in the future. I followed the timeline of the reviews and based on the way the complaints changed from negative to positive over the past two years, I decided to take a gamble because it seemed as if maybe the company had read it's reviews and decided to make some positive changes. I'm a little disappointed that two of the ones I'd like to purchase in the future are not currently available in my size, but I'm hoping it's just due to the Nawruz holiday and that within a month or so they will have restocked. I noticed that nobody else had posted a pic with their review, so I decided to go ahead and do so in hopes that it will help others who are trying to make up their minds whether or not it's worth the risk. :)

Just got my abaya today, and I love it. But you have got to know that this runs WAY SMALL. I am 5'9, almost 5'10, fairly voluptuous, but not super overweight, and I'm a size 14 in dresses and jeans, in everything. I ordered a size 4X in this abaya, thinking "I'll bet these run really small." And I was right. The fit is perfect; however, if it was even a bit smaller, it'd be too tight. I'm giving only 3 stars because these sellers have got to get with normal sizing. Size 14 is never, ever a "4X" in America -- we are tall, athletic, we are size 14 and 12 and 10 and 16! I so, so love the Indian stores on Amazon. I'm a devotee to them. But they really need to include accurate sizing information. The reason I knew to order a 4X is because I am very familiar with Indian clothing. Trust me, if you are a 16, order the 5x; if you are over a 16, do not order. I don't want you to be disappointed. If you are quite small, still order a medium or large -- seriously, these run incredibly small. I DO love my abaya, though, and I'm going to order more! But I will be sure to order 4X. :) I received it very quickly, and really do love it! Go ahead and get one for yourself -- just order UP! :)

It's very pretty, looks exactly like the picture and feels soft, lightweight, and silky. The upper arm and bust were too tight for me though. I ordered the 3XL in two different prints and hoped for the best, but it's too snug to wear comfortably. I could have used 3-4 more inches in the bust and it would've been perfect. Not the fault of the garment though! Unfortunately, there isn't enough seam allowance to take it out. Everywhere else it's flows beautifully with plenty of room at the waist and hips to hint at femininity while still being modest and unclingy. At 5'5" it was ankle length. Though it was a lightweight thin material as described, I had no issues with it being see-through. Both dresses I ordered were completely opaque (I ordered a black/red pattern and a purple/turquoise pattern)Alterations would cost more than the dress did, but I do really like it. So I'm going to return one of two I bought but keep the other to try my own alterations. I plan to let out the seam from the section under the upper arm and along down the sides near the bust. Then sew in an additional fabric insert to give me some extra room. Fingers crossed!

I bought this dress in an XL because of my hips. It was roomy enough in the hips but a little more fitted across my bustline than I expected. Just the opposite of what I normally encounter. I am 5'5" and this dress is as long as it looks in the picture. I bought the same dress in three styles and they are all very cool looking. Wore this one to a beach bar one evening with my cowboy hat and looked darn cute. It is very light weight. Now here's the problem. The fabric is very inexpensive (cheap) and the dress after one wear and one hand wash has a rent in one of the side seams. It was not snug, so it was not from pulling. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. So if you can afford to buy a very funky fun dress for one- or two-time use, this is the dress for you.

I am satisfied with this purchase, but I'm a little disappointed that I will have to wear high heels with it. I am 5'6" and ordered the small. The colors and print (turquoise background and fuchsia/gold print) were lovely and the material feels like silk - very thin. Unfortunately, it drags on the ground and you cannot hem it because of the border print. The print on mine was centered properly (other reviewers noted a problem). Not sure if I will keep it for the event I planned to wear it to, but it is a nice garment.

Got this to have a comfortable lounging dress for lazy Sundays. It fits in a loose, just right, comfortable way. The fabric is soft, light weight and cool, and pleasant to the touch. It washes well and the dryer gets out all wrinkles. Mine is dark blue and the print is not too loud, it is nice on the eyes. I will definitely reorder more colors of dresses in this style. The only problem that I found it that it didn't make me look as beautiful as the model in the picture:)

My expectations were pretty low for these after reading the reviews but I decided to try one anyway. I'm about a size 8-10 and ordered an XL just to be sure. The material was as expected, thin but not see through. The fit was large but not large enough to return. Did not shrink when washed in warm water washing machine. I'm about 5.6 and the length was perfect for me. The colors were vibrant. Was wearing it so much that I bought two more. This time I bought L; still big. If I wanted these to be a perfect fit, I would probably get a M but I use these as house dresses and around the backyard so I like them to be big. Pleasantly surprised. I didn't see any weird stitching/measurement problems as some did.
