Great product works brilliantly
Fantastic product. Best Iron I have ever had and I have had many which were double the price of this that did not work as well and it’s nice and light unlike some. Well done Philips a quality product at a great price

Compact size thats easy to handle
The size of this iron is really practical. Its compact enough to store easily without taking up too much space which is great if you dont have a lot of room. It also feels comfortable to hold and not too heavy making it easier to use for longer ironing sessions without strain. The water tank is a decent size for regular use so you dont have to refill it too often. While it might be slightly smaller than some larger more heavy duty irons it still does the job well for everyday ironing.

Light and small water tank, but iron's.
A few things to not, the cable is really short, my previous one was at least 0.5m longer, wish I had checked. The water tank is way too small and empties rather quickly. The iron itself is actually really light, don't know if its a good thing or bad. Our previous iron was continuously getting scorched, now I don’t know if that was getting too hot because sometimes I feel like this doesn't get hot enough, I am convinced its the former. Well, in summary, its irons really well, need to continuously fill for large pile of ironing, but its really easy to iron with as its light. Only other minor criticism would be that my hand sometimes catches on the dial, but that’s a minor really. Please consider these points when buying.

Lightweight, heats up fast, and works like a charm – best value iron I’ve had in the UK
This is the second iron I’ve bought since moving to the UK, and I’m genuinely happy with it. My previous one was a budget option from another brand (maybe Brelil or something like that?) and it was just terrible — barely ironed anything, took forever to heat up, and felt bulky and awkward in the hand. In contrast, this Philips model is lightweight, compact, and heats up quickly. It glides effortlessly over clothes and delivers great steam, even on a basic setting. It also doesn’t take too long to cool down, which I appreciate. Despite being one of Philips’ simpler models, it performs far beyond my expectations. I got it with a discount, and it cost about the same as my previous iron — but the difference in quality is day and night. The ceramic soleplate hasn’t stuck to anything, even synthetic fabrics, and I’ve been using it with scented ironing water with no issues. The design is sleek and minimal, which I prefer over flashy colours. All in all, I’m genuinely pleased every time I use it. It simply does its job — and does it well. Highly recommend if you want a reliable, no-fuss iron at a good price.

Lead too short
Iron itself is light and has the features you want for the price. My only complaint, is the lead is too short.

Excellent iron - very short cable .
For us arthritic oldies this is a really good lightweight iron , easy to fill with water and smooth in use - everything we were looking for - BUT - The power cord is simply not long enough , 6ft 2in ( 190cm ) from the iron to the plug. If you can position the bottom of your ironing board within 2 feet ( 60cm ) of a power socket , then fine , but still struggling at the end of the board , otherwise you'll need an extension cable , as did we ! This is penny-pinching and spoils an otherwise excellent product . Do we really have to bend and faff about with extension cables when the extra bit of cable , at negligible expense , would seriously improve the product ? Lack of research or just negligence - who knows !
