Great Marble run that takes time to build
11/12/22 I’ve had this sitting on my kitchen counter for about 10 months now. It’s been a conversation piece and it’s been enjoyed all that time so it’s was definitely worth the hard work and time it took to build it. My wife even enjoys it being there. Kids seem to enjoy it the most and marvel at how it works. However, one energetic kid was a bit too forceful with it and broke off the handle. For longevity, you need to tell everyone to be easy on it and not force things since gear meshing etc can momentarily bind. FYI The handle attachment is a weak link which breaks before other more complicated pieces break. It is easily fixed by gluing a patch piece of plywood over the broken area. Original review I like the way this kit turned out a lot. The pieces are of high quality and fit together nicely. It’s a lot above average in difficulty and you’ll need persistence to put it together. Also there are a few areas that need tuning that I describe in my video. But once it’s tuned it works great. To summarize, you’ll need to a) add a guard rail to stop the ball bearings from occasionally exiting the spiral. You can use the left over original plywood cut out. Just find a 5” diameter guide pieces (I used 8mm film can) and use it to cut the outside diameter of the spiral. b) put a plywood wedge with 45 angle under one drop hole (finger points to location in photo) to kick the bearings forward and keep it moving c) add the correct number of spacer rings so the bearing drop freely between the plastic pieces and d) adjust the play in the flip-flop so it alternates properly. Mine works very well and people really like it as do I.

Well designed, fun to assemble.
While this is definitely not for kids, I really enjoyed putting it together. The pieces are very accurately cut and well-marked. You have to be careful not to break them, some a pretty fragile. Once you get acquainted with how things go together it isn't a problem. I broke a couple of pieces, but they were easily repaired with some wood glue. The instructions are all pictures and some were a little small, but I took a pic with my phone and zoomed in to figure those out. There are also some videos that help (QR codes in the manual direct you to the videos.) There were a couple of times that i tried to make something work before completing the assembly and was worried that things didn't align properly, but later steps in the assembly fixed every issue. If you are impatient, or have trouble following instructions closely, this isn't for you, but I loved it. I ordered my second one just a few days after completing the first one. Highly recommended.

Building fun and frustrating
Lists as HARD. I didn't find it hard to do but the assembly took more time because of the time it took to glue pieces that broke. This is a very delicate project. Pieces are narrow and break easily even when you are being delicate and using tools they give you. I haven't quite finished it yet so I don't know how durable it will be. Still I like building and fixing; I just wanted to give a heads-up. Other than that, instructions are good and all parts (with some extras included) were enclosed.

Lasting Fun and Worth the Price
This thing was so fun to put together. I have big meaty sausage fingers so I found it a bit difficult in some tight spots but I managed. I broke one small piece that I had to glue back on and I had to sand down a couple of places to get the marbles to move a bit more smoothly. Other than that it functions great. Its such a cool thing to have and everyone that comes over plays with it. This was well worth the price.

Cool little project
This was a fun little project, but you definitely need some patience to do it. This isn’t really for kids unless you are supervising them. These parts are tougher than they look, but you can still easily break them. Have some glue ready to go (not included). The instructions are good for the most part; I would have been willing to pay a little more for color instructions, but they are fine as is. There are a couple of parts that should have been made a little thicker, particularly the ramps. You end up trying to bend wood and it’s not really flexible. You can make it work, but it can be a chore. But it’s a solid little project. Should take 6-10 hours; probably not a one day project.

ROKR dropped the "ball" on this one!
Rokr really dropped the "ball" on this one! Do yourself a favor and click on the reviews...go to the 1 star reviews....read them....and believe them!!! I've assembled probably a dozen Rokr sets and this was just awful! The build was frustrating. Parts broke very easily and it's almost like they added steps after the fact and made it so difficult to assemble. Things didn't line up properly or snap together well. If i was able to finish, i can just imagine how badly the marbles would get stuck. Too bad, cause i enjoyed their stuff. But a big fat NOOOOOO on this one. Return!

Assembly tons of fun, some pieces didn't fit though & doesnt work.
I had so much fun assembling this item, but am slightly disappointed that it does not work well for me when put together. As a careful 30-year-old male who greatly enjoys tasks like this and exploring mechanics, it was unfortunate it wouldn't work properly after completion. I spent several hours with precision on this project. Sure - could be user error, however there are multiple other comments that would point out specific pieces that either wouldn't connect, or the curved pieces that are too narrow and don't allow the marbles to free-flow through the track. Some wood pieces fit in their respective notch like a glove, while others didn't have enough 'meat' to secure together with its counterpart. I do recommend having wood glue handy if necessary, maybe some clips/clasps to help things set in place. They do have a spare parts board, thankfully I didn't need to use any. The instructions were pretty clear, there are a few parts which could use some clarity, though; so pay attention to detail. I do recommend gently sanding your pieces to keeps connections smooth as possible, no splinters, neat appearance. In conclusion, last night I have purchased more 3D puzzles, trying out different companies and metal vs. wood and how the precision of the cuts could make a difference. I had tons of fun assembling this but would've loved for it to been functional as well.

Great Challenge for Builders with Patience
I got this for my daughter after she saw a friend build one, and she was really excited to try it. It’s definitely more complicated than LEGO (and she loves LEGO), so be prepared for a bit of a challenge. The detail and design are really impressive, and it’s very satisfying once you start seeing it come together. That said, it does take patience and careful assembly—this isn’t something you rush through. In the end, it’s a great hands-on project and a fun way to build something unique. If you enjoy crafts and don’t mind a bit of a challenge, it’s absolutely worth it.

Packaging was falling apart.
This was a Christmas present as a surprise for my husband. Unfortunately it was not a surprise as it was just the product box with the label on it. Being put in a padded bad would have been great as the box was damaged. The product itself was luckily not damaged and was great.

Incredible engineering! Goes on smooth if you have the patience for proper construction!
AMAZING! Very patient wife put it together and it works flawlessly. This was my wife's first. She is very patient and meticulous and it took her a bunch of hours to get it done. And it works very fluidly. the motions barely scrape and I could just make it turn and watch the marbles go round and round for hours. Don't do drugs along with it, you'll get stuck there 😆. I've seen a couple other models done by a kid and he was all proud that it hadn't taken him that long to do them. However, they were far from being as smooth as my wife's work, so I'm guessing great patience is a prerequisite here. Enjoy!

Not well-made; don’t recommend at all
Extremely frustrating. The parts don’t align perfectly, don’t fit tightly and keep popping up/out during the final assembly..especially the rails, so the marbles don’t run smoothly. Don’t recommend this product.
