Yes, they work. The codes and v-bucks will not work.

Q: Why are the codes not working?

The seller will tell you that you need to set your system to Germany instead of U.S. We did that and they still didn’t work. I believe that the codes have already been used and seller keeps reselling the joy- con pair. We returned ours and got a refund, because of false advertising about the codes and v-bucks not working.
