Bentgo Glass Salad

I originally purchased two Bentgo Glass Salad Containers in April 2026, and I was very happy with them. Yesterday, one of the locking clips broke, just like some other reviewers mentioned. I have to admit that I tried using the container without the removable toppings/dressing tray. However, it really isn’t designed to be used that way. The lid doesn’t close properly without the tray, and trying to latch it only puts extra stress on the locking clips. I wouldn’t recommend anyone try it. After contacting customer service, I learned that the tray should always be placed back inside before closing the lid. Looking back, I believe that trying to close it without the tray is what caused the clip to break. What truly impressed me was the customer service. They responded to my email almost immediately, followed up quickly, and—what impressed me the most—a replacement arrived the very next day after I submitted my ticket. Wow! 🤩 A company is defined not only by its products, but by how it stands behind them. Bentgo exceeded my expectations, and I’m 100% satisfied with their customer service. I would absolutely buy from them again

I adore this container. It's my go-to for packing lunches. Salads, pastas, basically whatever I can put in there. So far I've had zero issues with it leaking, it's been super easy to clean, and it's large enough that I never worry if I've packed enough. And it fits in my lunch box perfectly. Can't give this product enough stars.

I was a little apprehensive about getting this as I have been disappointed by many travel salad bowls in the past. This one? It's perfect. It is a bit hefty due to being glass but it is a testament to its durability. The plastic lid and inserts are not poor quality and feel sturdy. All parts wash very well in a dishwasher. The seal is great and nothing has leaked from the container even after several washes. A common problem in other salad bowls is that the seal or plastic parts degrade with multiple washes. This product does not suffer from this fate -- at least not after several months of use! In terms of size, it is perfect for a medium to large salad. If you want to premix your salad, the plastic insert is not necessary for the bowl to safely close. While I do not think putting very wet inclusions in the top is a good idea, moderately wet inclusions like olives travel fine without causing a mess inside. The only downside is the fork does get wet pretty easily as it is attached inside. However, that is a non-issue for me since I prefer bringing a separate container for my silverware anyway.

Bought for my wife's lunch use,she loved it. Then it happened the clasp broke. But no worries reached out to Bentgo upload 3 pics. A new lid is on the way. THANKS Bentgo!!!!!! :)

I have owned this since for three years and on average use it twice a week. I have loved this bowl. In the last 6 months the tabs broke off the top so it will not stay shut with the tray inside and today I found mold around the rim of the top. It’s been good and worth the money and I guess you could say I got my monies worth. Sad to had to toss it. Wish I could buy just the lid.

excellent product! Nice glass bowl, tight fitting lid that is easy to open and close. I like the separate tray on top with cup for dressing and salad toppings. The only change I would make is to have the lid clamp down on all 4 sides not just 2.

I have seen a lot of Bentgo products ... and am impressed by the design to maximize efficiency. Lunch storage containers never seen to really be designed in a way where they make life easier. Bentigo's designs are well thought out and solve problems such as preventing soggy salads or keeping chips and dip separate on the go. The one issue Bentigo products all seem to have is that the lids don't work well. Whomever the engineer is responsible for designing Bentigo's lids needs some more training. The dressing cup lid does not stay on ... there is not enough surface area to displace the air, so no matter how hard you push the lid on, it will always pop off. This is fine if you keep your container upright, otherwise it will leak out the sides. This dressing container would need a 'burp seal' on the top in order to stay on. Or a screw top. There is no workaround to keep the top secure on the dressing cup (see my picture) other than to put a miniscule amount of dressing in. As it is, I feel that the cup doesn't give me enough dressing when full to coat my salad. That is the only problem I have with this ... otherwise, it is great. The storage capacity is fine for a lunch salad or a meal. I am on glp and don't eat a lot, so the portion is great. If you have a big appetite, this might be more of a side salad you'd want to pair with a half of a sandwich. I love that the container is made out of glass ... I will not use plastic containers when avoidable. This does have a plastic tray but the main bowl is made of thick glass. If only the tray was made of aluminum, this would be perfect. As a big fan of Cobb salad, this is cool because you can store chicken, bacon, blue cheese crumbles, tomato and avocado slices in the top section without mixing them with the lettuce too soon. I would have preferred one more divider in the top section but this works fine. The fork included in the top is a nice touch as well because it is always awkward to bring a dirty fork home if the container is too small to fit it. This makes it incredibly easy to use as an all in one system. Cleaning it is a breeze ... all parts are dishwasher safe but I wash mine by hand. The glass bowl is oven safe ... and the plastic top is microwavable. One thing I'd have loved to see is if there was a freezable cooling pack which could be attached to the top or bottom. If you don't have a refrigerator, this could be tough to keep salad with protein such as chicken or shrimp in, unless you have a good insulated lunch bag. Having an ice pack integrated in the design would make this so much more convenient because cold salad is the best. I ordered the black lid ... if I had it to do over, I'd have paid two bucks more and got one of the more colorful pattered bowls. A little pop of color wouldn't be a bad idea as the black one is kind of boring. The sides clip onto the tray to keep the top closed ... however, the plastic joints that help bend to clip it on seem a little weak and I worry about them breaking over time. We will see. Overall, for twenty one bucks at the time of this review, it seems like a good value for all the use it will get. As someone who eats salad every day now because of a low appetite from glps, this is perfect for my needs. It's well designed (minus the dressing cup) and I haven't found a better fancy salad container. I hope my video, pictures and honest review, after actually using the product, were helpful to you.

This is a great salad container, my only gripe is the tabs the cover uses to secure itself to the glass bottom. On one of my containers the tabs broke off. I reached out to Bentgo, and their customer service got back to me right away. They stand behind their product, and have sent me out a replacement. Super happy with my Bentgo purchases. I’d look into getting more of their products if they were available in Canada
