I purchased these to install under a homemade cabinet. These have only been used indoors so I cannot speak to their IP rating or their UV resistance as others have noted there may be concerns in those areas. For my application, they work perfectly. They were easy to install and soldering wire connections to a switch and 9V battery was simple. The adhesive was a bit lacking when applied to the pine cabinet surface, but I did not intend to use the adhesive alone and used mounting staples to keep them in place. If you are relying on the adhesive alone to hold these you may run into some frustration unless you have a smooth surface and install them on long straight runs. For my application this was not an issue, since I was using mechanical fasteners. Brightness running off a 9V battery was exactly what I was looking for - not bright enough to add accent in full sunlight or a brightly lit room, but for little to no ambient light (which is what my application is) they are perfect.

I bought this to light the inside of my 17 foot diameter tent. I wasn't sure if it would be bright enough based on just the description alone. I bought one strip and figured I'd get another one later, if needed. As it turned out, the second one wasn't necessary. One strip is plenty bright. I didn't need to use the adhesive backed tape, as the tent had some small strings running the circumference inside. I simply looped the light strip around these and it stayed perfectly. I am running it off of an RV/Marine deep cycle battery. So I ran a line from the battery into the tent and hooked it up to a switch. Then I ran a line from the switch to the lights and now I have real indoor lighting inside my tent. No flashlights or lanterns required. These worked out very well. I would buy again if I ever need more.

Good led lights. Installed easily in RV windows. Adhesive backing stuck to paper backing instead of light string about 75% of the time. Getting sticky tape back on light string was often difficult. One string broke. One positive--wires were easily soldered to the cut ends to be used in shorter installations. Most of the 12 Windows strings were made from salvaged ends of longer pieces from the ceiling installation.

This LED strip was just what I needed to brighten up the area inside and under my camper cabinets. I bought the soft white strip and am very pleased. The light strip is covered with a clear silicon rubber that makes the entire string very flexible, durable, and waterproof. Safe places to cut the strip are marked on the strip, making it easy to cut to length. Any length can be cut, as long as you cut where indicated. I cut three lengths to install in/under my cabinets. I cleaned off the clear silicon rubber covering to expose the solder pads with an exacto knife and easily soldered wires to the strip. The power and ground wires can be soldered to any set of pads anywhere along the string and it will power the entire string. Make sure to make the proper pos and neg connections, as LEDs are sensitive to polarity. Polarity is marked on the strip. The adhesive back sticks very well to a smooth surface. Very low current draw. Perfect for my installation. I have plenty left over and am looking for other places to use it!

DONT BUY IF YOU PLAN ON CONNECTING LIGHTS TOGETHER. THE CONNECTORS PROVIDED DON'T WORK. THEY WON'T SNAP SHUT SO NOW I HAVE A BUNCH OF LIGHTS THAT DON'T WORK, AND FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, THERE ISN'T ANY NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM.

Great value for money

Seller sent me Wrong Color, I had ordered Warm White but received Bright white, because there is no power adapter i had no way testing color. Needed Warm White for Client Project. The Lights worked but not to my clients full expectation.

I bought these lights to install on my patio boat bimini top to provide interior lighting at night. I am very pleased with how it came out. The adhesive backing is pretty good, but I know from experience with similar products that you have to install clips every 12" to 18" to keep them looking tight and clean. For this installation I'm going to use zip ties though. The cut points are every few inches. I bought two 16' lights and cut each in half to make 8' strands for the bimini aluminum cross pieces. For connectors I used interior style connectors and peeled back some of the waterproofing to expose the contacts. On a previous installation I tried using piercing "vampire" style connectors and they didn't work well. The color temperature and brightness are perfect for my application -- warm white and not piercingly bright.

Nice bright LED lights but shouldn't be marketed as warm light. These are definitely more of a cool white light.

Very frustrating to fit this strip in my kitchen and find it looks like it's more suited to be for surgery with such cold lighting. Don't buy it.
