Quality, style and price SOLD!
Simple to use, looks stylish. So glad I chose this after much research. Reasonable price for a quality product.

Excellent quality
Classy, stylish, feels like excellent quality and the colour is beautiful. Love how the ‘cancel’ wording lights up - nice touch! Toasts fast and evenly.

faulty product
it was great when it arrived. Now it has developed a fault it keeps tripping the electrics so we are going to have to send it back for repair when it is not even a month old.

Pricey, but worth it.
Yes, it's expensive. But when I add up the cost of all the cheap toasters I've bought and quickly thrown out over the years it's worth the extra money. Got fed up of poorly constructed toasters that wouldn't even take a standard slice of bread properly. Glad to say that this has no such problems. Sturdy, looks great and you can actually fit sliced bread in there without having to put it in vertically and end up with untoasted bread at the top. My only gripe is that the settings are a little hard to read, would be better if the numbers lit up like the cancel button when in use, but it's a minor issue. I've had no problem with the timing either, the toast is always perfect and those moaning about it being slow presumably enjoy the thrill of not knowing if their toast will end up burnt to a crisp if they can just save those few extra seconds !!

It costs a lot but it works
Right first off, it's £150. That's half a tank of petrol. It's a lot of money but do you know it works perfectly. Straight away the toaster elements heated up immediately and uniformly. The cooking setting for defrost cooks perfectly. Normal cooking works perfectly. I object to spending that amount of money but its consistent and after 3 weeks there has been a lot of perfectly cooked toast. No having to tweak the cooking dials. No one side cooked better than the other. It is without doubt the best toaster I've used in my 33 years of attempting to achieve toasting heaven with toasters I've been responsible for purchasing. If you want the perfect toaster this it is, It just costs three quarters of a tank of petrol. That's because petrol has gone up in the 5 minutes it's taken to write this review.

Needs to pop up better
Looks smart and is nice and sturdy, I like the bagel setting which is a bonus. The thing I don’t like is the fact that when it’s finished toasting and it pops up it doesn’t pop the food up enough, if you’re making crumpets for instance it hardly pops up at all and you have to pull them out with your fingers near the warm elements, it’s like it needs a better spring or something, even if you pull the side lever up manually it doesn’t allow it to come up far enough. It makes good toast though and the settings are nice and easy to use

Briliant.
This Rangemaster toaster, whist expensive, is the most wonderful toaster I have even owned, and I have been used to expensive toasters. The bread is toasted all over to the same level of 'brownness' and quickly, due to its high power of 2100w. It's the same brand as my oven, with which I have always been delighted, and is part of the AGA group, long recognised for its quality. It is a sturdy machine, unlike some of the cheaper flimsy-sided toasters on the market, and beautifully made with quality materials. Having all the features anyone could want from a toaster; bagel, defrost and reheat, I would recommend it to anyone who puts value over cost.

Lovely toaster.
I bought this to replace an old toaster that I'd had for some years and was looking grubby despite cleaning regularly and had become dull where it was once glossy. I chose this particular make as it matches my new cream and black Rangemaster cooker. The cream shade on this is slightly more yellowy than the cooker but it looks lovely. Packaged beautifully in two cloth bags although I'm not sure what you'd use these bags for after unpacking. Still, does add a touch of class and quality. The toaster itself is beautiful looking and quite sleek compared to my old Delonghi one which was imposing in comparison. Have only toasted Bagels so far as it only arrived yesterday and have to say that this feature really does toast Bagels perfectly - for years I've had overly toasted ones which were spoiled really by toasting both sides. To work the functions, you have to set the dial then press down on the lever(s) before pressing any special functions which confused me at first as I thought it was faulty! To toast Bagels, Crumpets, Tea Cakes & the like, it's the innermost elements that heat up so place the cut side food inwards. I am telling you this because it doesn't come with instructions. I have scored a four because of two things; Firstly, the crumb trays are placed at the bottom rear of the appliance which means you have to pull the toaster out to remove them - daft idea if you ask me. Also, you have to pull quite forcibly to get them loose, I hope they get easier over time. And secondly, there is a groove all around the toaster top where the chrome meets the sides which will gather lot's of debris over time and looks difficult to keep clean without scratching but it must be do-able somehow. Although this toaster is made of metal, the paint looks prone to scratching so always make sure to just wipe over with a damp cloth & the tiniest amount or dish soap (or similar) when cleaning - never use abrasive cleaners. This is an expensive toaster but it does perform well and one can only hope that it is a reliable brand that will stand the test of time. It does come with a two year guarantee - three if you register it within 28 days of purchase which is great but I'd expect it to last a whole lot longer than that. Over all, I am delighted with it.
