Before buying the unit, I watched YouTube for reviews and operations of the Sand Blasting Kit and decided to buy it for its compact and easy to use.I was unboxing the unit and came disassembled and with the installation instructions. I tried to install the red sand container onto the spray gun & it would not fit in the sliding slots. I used a little force and the tang on the red container broke off. Back to Amazon. Product was made from China.

This spot blaster was bought as a cheap tool that would probably only be used a few times, pretty low expectations. Out of the box and I was surprised by visually it looked better than expected. For assembly there were zero instructions but pretty no brain on how it fits together. Putting together was another thing, it was probably powder coated after it was machined since the tank wouldn't fit without filing and the set screws wouldn't fit the threads. After filing and fitting it together and filling the tank with abrasive I sat the blaster on the bench. On picking it up to connect the air line I noticed the tank mount had broken, it's now held in place with a tywrap. Pulling the tywrap with just enough tension to hold the tank on showed the crack in the tank where the mount had seperated. The male quick connect supplied would fit in but not work with my air hose, so replace it with another fitting to allow it to function. Air supply in place so now it flows air all the time since the trigger doesn't completely stop the air flow, nicely paired with the abrasive lever which won't stay in place to slop the leakage of abrasive. The blaster does deserve its one star though because it did supply a reasonable amount of Teflon tape, even if the fitting it was supposed to seal was meant to seal with an o-ring. Also it was able to blast the small piece I tested the blaster on, although it probably wasted twice as much abrasive as it used.

Not very good blaster. Slow progress. Fitting must be Chinese, not pipe or standard or metric and male end doesn't fit air hose fittings.
