Worked for what I needed
For $10 this coil turned out to be a decent buy. I was building a metal smelting furnace from scratch and after getting through all the coil design hiccups burning up coils from a heater I found in a ditch I threw one of these in. I cut a few feet off to get about 28 ohms resistance since I wanted a 2kW coil at 240v. Fired up the furnace and they held to 1080° C chamber temperature. I was oscillating it on and off at a 50% duty cycle while coming up to temp. Going to try a 100% duty cycle warmup since I ordered 2 more. Edit after working with it some more: they do get extremely brittle but if you aren't heating them to 1100° C they work well for the price.

did not work on 110v but worked great when wired up to 220v. no issues seen yet. installed in metal foundry and maintains 600-700C without issue.

Wire broke on the first use at only 700c
Wire broke in 2 separate places at around 700c. Definitely wouldn't recommend this for high temp needs like it's advertised.

Delivered a product that is different from the image shown. Not even specified how much watts it is. The mrp on the packet shows 25-55 Rs and it is sold at Rs 199 .
