If you input the wrong digit in a long number can you backspace to remove just that digit? I'm hoping that is what the arrow button does.

The answer is yes, but it's peculiar because the arrow button is facing to the right, but the numbers disappear (one by one) from the left. Possibly because the Chinese write from right to left, whereas we go left to right. But I'm not recommending this machine, a) because it's made in China and b) because it doesn't do pence: it rounds up to the nearest whole number.
