No leaks if you follow these simple directions!
I have never written an amazon review before in the many years I have been a customer. I felt compelled to do so after seeing all the bad reviews this product has unfairly received. I studied all the good reviews and bad reviews before I bought this and I gave it a try. I've had it setup for a month now and it works PERFECTLY. Not a single drop of water has leaked. The secret to making sure it doesn't leak from the faucet tap is to follow the advice of another reviewer who had success with this method and posted it. I used his technique and it worked just as he said it would. When you install the faucet you will find that you are supplied with two rubber gaskets that go one on each side of the metal housing of the dispenser body. You will notice that these gaskets are flared out with the flared end facing away from the metal on either side. The secret is to make sure that it is tight enough that these gaskets are no longer flared but flush on either side. If they do not appear flush or almost flush, it's not tight enough and it might leak! Hand tightening is not enough, you need to use a pliers or ideally a 1-1/8" socket over the nut and turn that by hand. If the gasket is still not flush or you want to be extra sure, fill the tank with HOT water up to the top of the nut and let it sit for 5 minutes. Carefully drain the hot water and immediately take your socket and tighten it again. You will find you will get another half turn out of it at least. Obviously, be careful not to over tighten or you could bend the metal. So to summarize, if the gaskets do not appear flush its not tight enough! It may leak. It's that simple folks. All the jokers who are saying the good reviews are paid reviews or there is no wrong way to do it are fools. These are not paid reviews, it's common sense and yes there is a wrong way to do it. As far as it leaking out the seams as some have suggested I have no seen that and since those are all old reviews I think it's safe to assume the manufacturer has since corrected any of those kind of defects. I highly recommend this dispenser. For the ultimate combo buy the no spill cap that works for crocks. Works great. UPDATE: Over 2 years and 4 months later and not a single drop has leaked from either the tap or the seams. We use it every day. Fantastic product.

Great product, bottom needs a mat
Love the stainless steel. Using with a 3 gal job of water. No leaks from the top or from the valve assembly. Easy to put together. Simple to wipe down. Dispenser is plastic. I bought a stainless steel dispenser instead. The washers with the stainless steel dispenser stunk like a fragrance chemical. Days in sunlight did nothing. Tried the washers from the plastic dispenser included with enviro product. Fit just fine. Up and going and now I have a stainless steel container, stainless steel dispenser, and no leaks. I noticed the same problem as another reviewer - the bottom. It's basically think metal in a circle shape that touches the counter. It doesn't feel that smooth or safe for a counter. I put an old cardboard back of a pad of paper down as a mat for the container. The bottom could use a redesign to be less hurtful to counters. Will it scratch a counter? I don't know. I don't want to chance it. Replacing a counter costs more than a mat to cushion this enviro container. We got this to replace a plastic dispenser that screws onto the jug bottle openings. We had a fairly new one that just kept leaking with any bottle we tried. So we didn't want to muck around with the screw on dispenser caps, their o-rings, and all that stuff. They say the screw on dispensers don't leak and they're partially right. It doesn't "leak," it just drips out the excess water on your floor after a few seconds of closing the dispenser. Kind of like if you suck water up a straw, hold at an angle, and let go. Air comes up the bottom, water goes out. That's what we kept having with the dispensers that go on top of jugs. So we tried this. It's so easy and so nice. When it's empty, I just wipe it out, easy to clean in seconds. Load up a new jug. Back in business. No leaks and no more drip drip drip like we had with the screw on cap dispensers. Haven't tried the plastic dispenser included with the enviro; we used a separate stainless steel dispenser. I love this enviro product. We still have a bowl on the floor just in case of a leak, spill, or whatever ... thanks to years of drips from the old screw on dispenser we used before this enviro. It's so nice to wake up and see the bowl dry with the enviro container. Will it hold a 5 gallon? I don't know. 5 gallons is beyond my weight limit. Works great with 3 gallon jugs.

works as it should. The faucet assembles easily. The stainless steel crock pot is empty on the inside and water gets stored in it. We keep a 15L water bottle inverted on top. The plastic rim is ensures that the water stays in and protects the bottle. The rim is removable for cleaning i guess. Have had it for a month and happy with it so far

Unfortunately the above product it is not what I was looking for as personally I needed a stainless steel container with a secure lid/cover for transporting drinking water and this unfortunately is a dispenser which isn't any use to me but I'm sure if that is what one is seeking it's ideal and I would highly recommend it but as a dispeenser.
