I didn't know if this product existed, but took a shot and went on Amazon and saw this product. It saved my road trip as it powered up my Uniden R3 radar detector perfectly! Highly recommended.

When reviewing cables, wires, etc. It's hard to write a lot about them. They either work or they don't. These work. They appear to be of acceptable quality and I think I got my money's worth. I'd buy them again.

I bought the USB A Male to 12V Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Female Converter Cable to power a small dashcam, thinking it would be a simple solution for converting USB power to 12V. Unfortunately, my experience with this adapter has been nothing but disappointing.The biggest issue is that it simply doesn’t provide enough power to properly run any of the devices I intended to use. Despite the product's claim of handling 12V at 8W max, it consistently failed to power even basic devices like my dashcam and portable fan. The devices would either not start at all or would stop working after a few minutes. This suggests the converter doesn't deliver the required voltage and wattage reliably, making it completely unreliable for most applications.On top of that, the build quality feels cheap. The connectors feel loose, and I’m concerned they could easily break or wear out quickly. I’ve also had issues with the USB connection; it doesn’t stay securely in the socket, which led to several disconnections during use.I understand this is a budget item, but it still needs to meet basic functionality, and this product just doesn't. I will be returning it because it didn’t perform as advertised and doesn’t meet the minimum power requirements for any of my devices. Save yourself the hassle and look for a better-quality converter.

This is exactly what I needed for my dash cam. My wife's new car doesn't have a cigarette lighter in it but it has a usb outlet. Now I plugged this in and works great.

Works perfectly in our RV to plug in our auxiliary brake indicator. Length is just right.

It’s pretty loose, got detached once in a while. But if I use a tape, then it can do its job properly.
