Easy to install, more durable than the plastic models, nice appearance

Worked just great to cover a large drain access hole. All local stores only had round covers that required a hole drilled into the pipe plug to mount the cover. This worked much better. Despite what some of the reviews say, it's made of sturdy plastic and painted up nicely. I did have to grind down one side to fit my hole, but the door is still sturdy and opens easily. Would buy again, for sure.

Good access panel for small items in/behind a wall. Dimensions are accurate. Worked as expected.

My electrician had to cut a fairly large hole in the garage ceiling in order to install a small electrical panel. He told me to not to close the hole up because he could potentially need to access that area again. This access panel was to perfect size to cover that hole. Since I installed it in the ceiling, I straightened the metal tabs and screwed through them instead up using the recommended montage glue for installation. The latch on the door catches just enough to keep the door closed even though it is on the ceiling instead of a wall. No more down-drafts from the garage roof!

You should probably prepare the opening by framing it with something to screw into like some scrap wood.

This 4" x 4" White Plastic Access Panel w Door does its job very well at a good price. Our Whirlpool Duet front load washer has a drain filter that clogs roughly every year now. The drain filter is behind the front panel, facing the front panel. However, there is no door in the front panel, so we have to pull the top, electronics control panel, door, door seal, and front panel off to access the filter. This year I decided to cut a hole in the front panel such that we can easily access the filter. I purchased and installed this access door to cover the hole on the front panel. I cut the square hole roughly 4 in by 4 in, and hot-glued the frame in place from the inside. I took my Dremel, and reduced the thickness of the door flange on the door itself, to make it easier to bend the door a bit to get the hinge posts out of the door frame. It looks great, and allows easy access to the drain filter. It is easy to open the door with my fingernail, easy to pull the door off, easy to access the drain filter, easy to replace the door, and easy to close the door; the door snaps shut when closed. It appears that it is sufficiently sturdy to last the lifetime of the washer, which, given that I repair and maintain the washer myself, will probably be another twenty years. This access panel works well for me, at a decent price, so I give it 5 stars.

This product worked great. This is a great idea for covering up my shut off valve.

Door seems to bend in the middle of the hinge side slightly, thus needing a slight push to open the door. Actually it’s pretty good considering the reasonable cost
