Purchased these refills for a small pen I keep in my handbag. It was longer than the pen, so I just cut the end to size needed. Works fine.

Where have these been all my life ?? I have thrown away good pens and all I needed was a refill ? Ugh ! If it’s too long for your pen cut it !

I have a bunch of Pentel RSVP pens that I love and want to keep using. I also hate buying new pens just to create more garbage. I figured the best solution was buying refills. After searching all over Amazon this item had the best price, most refills and best reviews. As others have said, the tubes and tips are skinnier than usual pens but they still fit just fine. The issue is the tubes are very short. I found a clicker pen where it fits well but the Pentel pens have space left over at the end. To rectify I filled in the left over space. I have been writing with the pens for a few days now. The blue ink does not leak and it writes well. BUT the issue is that the ink sometimes doesn't come to the tip. I have to press down really hard to get it going again. Ultimately it is not a huge inconvenience considering the price and number of refills.

These inexpensive refills have resuscitated a bunch of souvenir pens that would otherwise have been thrown away. They worked fine with some pens that have 2.5mm diameter refills with the point 7mm long before it fits into the refill tube. Some pens I really like have similar refills, but they are 3mm with a 10mm long point, and these refills don't work with them. Still, it's hard to complain at the price. Some reviewers complain that the blue and black refills are mixed together. In my box, all the blue ones face one way and the black ones face the other.

Overall very good. I thought I was getting a blue black ink color, but there are some blue and some black inks so don't be fooled. They do write fine and are a great value and you'll have ink for your pens for years! or at least a long time.

Much shorter than the 5.5 inches they are supposed to be. More like the 4.2 inches. Doesn’t work for the pen that I bought them for. Disappointed

I can't possibly speak as to longevity as I just began use last week. The writing is smooth. I have not encountered any skips. The listing describes as blue black refills. That does not refer to the ink color (as I presumed) but rather a mix of blue and black refills. I have used as replacements for about 10 ink pens so far. I have not had to trim any refills to make fit. However, even though the length is the same as the original, there is a slight hitch with Bic Click Top pens. You have to press top of pen hard to get ink tip to come out with Bics, and have to press hard to retract the pen tip. I think it has something to do with where the spring lines up on the cartridge. For my other non Bic Click Top pens there are no issues.

Great deal on these cartridges! They'll last forever. Couldn't find them locally - so am very happy to bring my nice pens back to life. YES, they're shorter than the standard ones in North America. Here's the trick: Put small pieces of cotton pad on the tip of the cartridge as you fill them in. That buffers the empty space. One might need to tweak a bit (don't put too much cotton in right away).
