When I set the timer to 10 hours does the green indicator light keep flashing? Or does the flashing light mean the timer's not set?

once the 12 hours are up and it cuts off, does it come back on in 12 hours? I am heading out of town soon and want to make sure.

Can this fit on a normal rimmed aquarium?
