Great quality filter...you don't taste the water.
I prefer not to taste the water. With Apex Filter System you don't taste anything or see sediment.

APEC filter replacement
The stage V filter was slightly different from the original. It took some time to figure out how to make it work.The line connectors were an adjustment, to make a different filter than the selected, compatible.

Poorly documented.
The 5th R/O stage required multiple trips to the hardware store in order to add the correct quick connector. The documentation that came with this product does not accurately call out what is needed. This ended up causing me hours of needless work trying different combinations of connectors.

NOTE: 5th Filter included is not correct filter for RO-45!
The 5th stage filter that is in this package does not work with 1/4ā lines, which is what you have if you are replacing filters for the APEC model RO-45. (The quick-connect fittings are too large, and are for a 3/8ā tube Iām guessing)Now I have to reorder the correct filter and send back the incorrect one.
