We had a tough time rounding up all of the spices needed to make a batch of Pho broth, so we were quite excited to find all of the spices we needed from "The Spice Way" and at prices that were cheaper than our local vendor (when they have them in stock). The cardamom is very fragrant and smells of freshness. Along with the other spices it all added up to a fragrant and wonderful pho broth. Wonderful cardamom. I put the seeds in a spice grinder (an inexpensive pepper grinder works great) and grind it on the spot when I need it. The flavor is excellent and it truly makes everything it touches better. I use it in coffee and tea daily, hot cider, hot chocolate, buttered rum; with jasmine or basmati rice; in baking (works magic with sugar, vanilla, or both — rosewater, too); on baked apples or pears; on vanilla and chocolate ice cream — maybe drizzle some honey onto the vanilla ice cream and sprinkle ground cardamom on top. It’s also excellent in many savory meat dishes including shawarma— salt to taste with kosher/smoked salt/sea salt/Maldon (skip the other stuff). If using it in ground beef, or in rice, you can toss in some of the whole seeds, and later, when you serve it, add some ground cardamom, good salt, and perhaps ground black pepper (McCormick’s Oakwood Smoked Pepper grinder is great for this, and when it’s empty, use the grinder for another spice. This cardamom is in one of mine). Tl;dr: It’s great quality and sooooo good. This version — the seeds alone — is more potent than the pre-ground version because there is no shell/husk m ground up with it.

These come as very small seeds. I use them to make herbal tea, along with fresh ginger, cloves, and a cinnamon stick. I rinse them out in a strainer first. The taste is subtle. The cinnamon and ginger dominate the flavor of the tea. The cardamom smells good. There are health benefits, which is why I take it. It also has a sweet and exotically delicious flavor when used in candy and desserts.

My my first experience with Cardamom in any form, but having the seeds readily available without the husk has to be the easiest way to conserve the freshness easy toconsume them. The flavor is good, fresh, yet unusual and I think also unique.

This is my 2nd time ordering cardamom seeds from The Spice Way company. I appreciate not to have to remove the seeds from the pods myself. Quality is good and it is great value for he money.

This product exceeded my expectations. It is really good quality and a good amount for the price . The product is fresh and it smells amazing. This is my first time buying cardamom for baking and honestly i cannot complain.

Bought this same product 6 months ago, and purchasing my next one. I have a FinaMill electric spice grinder and have one pod dedicated for cardamom. I use it every day in my cappuccino that I make at home (along with cayenne, cinnamon, turbinado sugar, and some form of chocolate/cocoa). I also use cardamom in hot tea and I put it in when I make granola. It's such a wonderful spice and the decorticated version means it's super easy to add (no pod to deal with). The quality of this cardamom has been excellent.
