Libbey Vina Stemless Red-Wine Glasses (16.75oz/Set of 4)

These are my go-to wine glasses for everyday use because they are comfortable and lightweight to hold, dishwasher safe, and inexpensive enough to stock up on -- so I bought 12, to accommodate friends & family. After 8 years, they still look great! These Libbey glasses have a more contemporary look and seem less likely to tip over than stemmed glasses. Even if they do get tipped/dropped, at this price, it's not heartbreaking to break a wine glass. These Libbey glasses are a bit thicker than the Riedel and Spigeleau glasses, but it is hardly noticeable. Plus they are made in the USA. I have both the white & red wine glasses -- and am pleased with their functionality & durability -- so these are highly recommended.

I use these glasses for everything from orange juice to water to wine, and they definitely get the job done. Clean lines make it beautiful to look at, and trick all my friends into thinking I'm classier than I really am. It's not so large that it's unwieldy for people with normal size hands, and it doesn't tip very easily. I've dropped it in the sink while washing them, and they were fine. I've also put them in the dishwasher, which has them coming out sparkly and so clean I can hear the rub of my finger. Some people have commented that they're slippery when you wash them by the hand - I haven't found that to be the case at all. Great price, great glasses. I can seem them lasting me a while.

It arrived on time, not broken (and I ordered two sets) and while the glass is very thick, thicker than a normal wine glass, its fine for my normal use around the house when I don't want a stemmed glass (for fear of it falling over around my kids and breaking/spilling red wine!) So, I do like this glass. I've even though of doubling its use as a dessert ramekin for puddings or single serve trifles because its thick, it would withstand use of a spoon inside. So, double use! I would buy it again. Probably not for wine snobs.

There isn't much to say about this product. The set is 10 bucks, so the price is right. The glasses are light and delicate like wine glasses should be, but not to the point that you feel they're going to break easily. They can handle some slight mishandling, but don't expect amazing durability. For the price, I don't think you can beat this set if you're looking for stemless red wine glasses. However, I will say that they aren't the most eye-catching pieces of glassware in the world. They're very simple and designed with function in mind. I think I'm also going to get a set of traditional stemmed wine glasses, simply because I'm sometimes in the mood to drink wine in something a little more visually interesting. For what they are, though, you can't go wrong here. The bottom line: - Simple, functional, quality glassware at a great price.

I love the shape of these glasses and have ordered several sets throughout the years. However, they are thin glass and not especially durable (hence the repeat orders). At least three have broken from being dropped in the sink while washing (so maybe a 6" drop onto a stainless steel sink). On the plus side, they don't chip--they're either going to look brand-new or go for the gold and split into huge glass chunks. The price point is reasonable enough for me to keep buying them, as they are perfect for wine as well as everyday drinking glasses--they really class up a 'dipping Oreos into milk' experience. If you are easy on your stemware, grab these for a cheap, modern option. Even if you're not, you can go my route and consider using them as replaceable glasses.

The price on these is just awesome. Upon opening the package, none were broken, and Amazon went the extra mile in packing it. TONS of bubble wrap... and not the cheap flimsy stuff, but lots of thick thick bubble wrap. My guess is that they were tired of receiving broken returns, and stepped up the packaging. The glasses themselves do not scream quality, but that's because you're only paying about $10 for a set of 4... so expect glass that looks a little flawed. Mine had circular lines all around. BUT, I'm not trying to impress anyone, when people come over my hosue to drink, they don't examine the wine glasses, they just drink away, and within a 1/2 hour could care less what the heck the wine glass looks like. In terms of the thickness of the glass, it's thicker than my expensive crystal wine glasses, which is somewhat reasuring, but you still need to be careful when handling these glasses.

These are the worst glasses I have ever bought. Save your time and money. When the package arrived, I opened it to discover one of the rims was sharp and missing it's rim. There weren't even any broken pieces of glasses in the package so who in the world placed that glass in the package to begin with? Because it sure wasn't a delivery problem. Ok, perhaps that was a fluke --- but then two of them broke in my hand while I was gently washing them. Gently!!! Overall, a real flimsy piece of crap and I'm glad I didn't get cut. I saw the same exact glasses at an close out place called Ocean State Joblot and they were made out of perfectly sturdy thick glass, unlike these ones...and for the same price. What's the deal? Thankfully I got my money back! I'm at a total loss for all the 5 star reviews this product got... just blows my mind.

Other than it being a bit on the wide side, good wine glasses for the value.
