This cat door was very easy to install, works perfectly, and is very very cute! Great purchase. We used a jigsaw to cut a hole in our laundry room door so that the cats can access the litter boxes inside. The instructions were very simple (and so was using the jigsaw for my first time! I was nervous but it was very easy for me to do even as a beginner). The cats immediately took to it, and even our biggest 13lb cat barely has to crouch to get through the opening. The design is absolutely adorable, we get a lot of great reactions and compliments. Really! I didn't anticipate how often guests would see it and laugh with delight - it's a hit at parties! Never thought I'd say that about a cat door, that's for sure. The material they are made of feels sturdy and does not look cheap. The white color matched my white door perfectly - it looks like they were made together - but the finish could easily be painted to match another color. They have name-brand 3M adhesive strips to attach them and they are very secure, the pieces fit together nicely with the interior strip that covers the gap in the hole of a hollow-core door. Overall this is a great cat door!

I think this cat door is a great solution to providing a cat door that is both functional and cute. We wanted a cat door between the half bath and laundry area in our main level. No guest wants to see a litter box. We especially wanted to encourage our kitten to step on the litter trapping mat because stepping on litter is so gross. This little door forces our kitten to walk on the mat, decreasing the litter in the bathroom. He also likes to hide from small children in this new space - so that's an added bonus! 😉 Installation was easy. I cut on the very inside of the template, and it was the perfect size. We used a jigsaw to cut it out in less than ten minutes. I felt the 3M stickers were not strong enough, so we used gorilla glue to adhere the cat door to the human door. We clamped them together overnight and hung the door in the morning. I caulked around the edges to make it more seamless. It's a little rough feeling, but I'm planning to paint it and that should take care of that concern. Overall, cute look, easy installation, very secure with the gorilla glue, seamless look with caulking, kitty is happy, and bathroom has less litter on the floor! Very happy in our home! Last point, our kitty is 7lbs, but we still bought the XL. I'm glad we did! It's not a tight fit, and it allows for future growth and fatness.

Got with a friend that had a jigsaw and was able to cut the door and fit the parts in less than 20 minutes. It was very easy to install and looks good. My cats immediately started using it and I was finally able to close my bedroom door without them losing their little kitty minds. I was worried it wouldn't be big enough for my Extra-Large Boy but with a little bit of ducking he gets through easily.

I’m a nightshifter and sleep during the day. My cats always push the bedroom door open which then lets all the light in and wakes me up. This kitty door is the best thing I’ve purchased for my home and I wish I would have bought it many years ago!! The cats go in and out with ease, and no more light coming into the bedroom! My bedroom stays pretty dark now during the day. I have one chonky cat and she has no problem fitting through. (The cat pictured is my skinnier cat). When my husband sleeps at night and I’m up watching TV or doing stuff around the house, he says the room is almost pitch black and no noise comes through. He says it’s like as if the cat door isn’t even there as far as noise is concerned. So that’s a good thing! I had a family member help me. I have solid wood doors, and cutting with an electric saw was not an issue. We took the door off the hinges. traced the actual plastic piece, since that is what most of the reviewers recommended (instead of using the paper template). It worked out well and fit BUT you have to account for the screw notches. So after cutting out the hole, we then lined up the plastic piece again and marked where the screws will be. Then had to cut out little notches for where the screws would be. (I traced the inside of the piece. Maybe if we had traced on the outside of it, the line would’ve drawn around the notches and we would’ve seen where to cut the notches). This whole process took about 1 hr. Overall, I’m so happy and love this cat door.

This kitty door is adorable!! Both my girls started using it the minute it was installed. The installation was easy and straight forward. It said it came with screws, but none were included with my kit, which is why I gave it four star.

We've struggled to find a pet barrier that would let out 17lb cat in but not our 50lb dog. They are the same width, so the pet gates with flaps were tall enough to let the dog in to munch on litter box treasures. Now that we own our home and can cut holes in the door to the cat room, this product became an option. I like that it is wide enough to let my cat in without squeezing but too short for the dog to force herself through. My husband borrowed a jigsaw from the neighbor, popped the door off the hinges, and had this thing installed and the door back in place all within an hour. I love the peace of mind from knowing that the crunch buffet is closed. I love that I don't have to mess with weird barricades or gates to access the room. We also keep our Meyer lemon tree in that room with a grow light, so it looks like I have a fun little portal in that corner now.

My husband and I have had cats throughout our 31 year marriage. It wasn't until I received my 75lbs Golden Retriever PTSD service dog from a veteran's organization that we needed to keep food bowls & litter box "treats" separated. (Yes, those buried litter box treasures smell like food to your dog ... just FYI lol). We needed a solution to keep our animals from eating each other's foods. So, we purchased the smaller version 1st ... not knowing there was a larger size. But for food? My 21lbs fat cat squeezes into the pantry doors' cat hole just fine! I painted the pantry doors' pieces brown to represent our tiny tortie siamese kitty. I wanted the bigger cat hole for our laundry room door to make certain that my black fat cat would use it. And to keep my new service dog out of their litterbox! I mean ... eeewww! Spray paint is your friend! We ordered 2 sizes of this adorable cat-hole! I sprayed 1 black, 1 brown. I prefer the larger size just because it works so well for larger cats. My techie-geek hubby & his friend with the skill saw knocked this job out quickly. Easy to use template! Now my new Golden Retriever "service girl" stays out of the cat's food bowls and away from the special treat box! So cute and functional! Score!

Highly recommend this! So glad i discovered it. Easy to fit. Cut doesn't have to be perfect as it hides the edges well. Looks good. Good size even for larger cats. My cats used it straight away with no fuss. I can now the keep the door shut which makes my hallway look much tidier. Have had so many compliments. Very very happy *****
