Casio Men's GWX-5600-1JF G-Shock G-Lide Tough Solar Radio Controlled Watch [Japan Import]

Better than expected, I love almost everything about it. I wasnt sure about the color but after wearing it I came to love the way it looks, it definitely stands out vs the generic matte black square. My only critic would Be the display is kind of out dated compared to the new models but then again I bought it for the classic look, the second thing is the shiny resin does scratch easily so im always co conscious what im doing when I wear it. The quality and feel seems nice but the band is a little stiff and creaky, but It doesnt bother me. I absolutely love the moon phase, tide level, auto back light, tough solar and multiband 6.

Evokes the vintage 80s colors with solar powered, backlight, moon and tide, radio controlled. What else do you want? Buy it you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love this watch. It looks even more amazing in real life over the photos. I have several casio watches and this one is my favorite. I love the color scheme and the shiny look. I very much appreciate that it still uses a electroluminescent backlight. I prefer it over LED. I have yet to see an LED backlit watch light up as evenly and beautifully as EL. One of my LED backlit casio watches is blinding but shines so unevenly, that it's impossible to tell the time and defeats the purpose. Please don't phase out EL Casio!

Casio did it again! Another banger of a watch!

Honestly, I’ve always collected vintage Swiss and Russian pieces. I’m a big fan as well of some modern models here and there mechanical and automatic… but something drew me in to this square. I’ll talk about why. The pure utility of it is hard to beat. You know there’s that exact time you get from it and it’s perfect every time I check it. That’s really just easy and convenient for me. I also now like the look of the smaller Casio g shocks like this. It has the moon phase and ride which I enjoy looking at and also the date is shown and it just makes it really easy to stay on top of time and check it frequently. I also like the ability to set 4 different timers which is useful. This is the only digital watch I own and I really think for the money this things great. It’s not a watch for smug individuals it’s a watch that looks good for being digital and should be worn be a man that doesn’t care what others think. Sometimes I don’t want to always wear my zenith el primero or Raketa’s new Zero dial.. and that’s where this watch comes in. I actually like the setup and the durability is fine for a digital watch. There’s something nostalgic now about a proper Casio g shock watch and I like it. So far this watch has been worn the money no doubt. The directions are in Japanese so I suggest going online and learning the little things that will help you operate this Japanese edition G shock to your liking and get down the basics and what you find necessary in your digital watch. Look it’s a Casio G Shock and it’s not a flex.. it’s for the laid back crowd and your watch should be something you enjoy wearing. Who cares about what others think all the time.. if that’s you then go buy a Gold Rolex president, be that guy and don’t even bother with this Casio. To the rest of you who aren’t into being pretentious about your watch drip I recommend this square. It’s been a fun watch to wear for the last 6 weeks for me.

Dead battery. No amount of charging and troubleshooting could revive this thing. Blank screen and total rigor mortis . Seeing that some reviews here are over 10 years old, it is likely the batch of watches is very old. Huge disappointment, and wasted time.

This is a terrific G-Shock model! It has many features, but it is still easy to navigate and use them. This model is unique because it features a moon and tide display that is more accurate than the traditional moon/tide complications which are usually only on expensive mechanical watches. The moon display shows the correct shape of the moon for all its phases, and the tide display has 3 different curves that account for spring and neap tides. You can feel how durable the watch is when you wear it. Just note that the strap curves in a "U" shape so you can't lay it down flat like most watches. See the attached pick for how the it looks on my 7" wrist. I really love this thing!

Pros: love the watch face and functionality. I use it as a work watch and it’s taking a beating and holding up. Resists electro magnetism and getting slammed into pipes, rocks and animals. Cons: I was expecting matte or more dull look. It’s glossy, shiny multi colored - just plain loud. Bracelet had to go instantly. The watch looks like a six year olds toy. Got it on a NATO now. The rubber around the watch face was sanded to a good dull matte and took black paint to the ‘protection’ & ‘g-shock’ so it’s all uniform black. I love it. Just a shame it takes customization from stock to make the watch not look cringe. It’s a great timekeeping platform.

Probably the best G-shock. It's unfortunate it's only released for the Japanese market, so you have to pay a bit extra to get it imported over to the UK. Getting it imported from America was cheaper than importing is straight from Japan, so I bought it here on Amazon. The watch is linked to a radio signal so that the time is automatically set wherever you are in the world. There is also a solar panel built into the watch so it will charge on its own. I read a review of a guy who has had the same battery in his watch for 17 years so far without changing it. The moon and tide function is very nice, the overall aesthetic is what drew me to it in the first place. I like the gloss, and expect it to dull slighty over time as this will be my daily watch. I like the functions of the watch, especially that I can still see the time when using other functions.

Excelente compra. El reloj esta muy bonito. Tal y como se ve en la publicacion. En cuanto al envio todo muy bien, salvo q aparentemente la pagina de amazon decia q algo paso y no lleagaria, pero afortunadamente llego sin problema.
