I wanted a remote control sub for my boy on his 8th birthday!!! His eyes lit up when he opened this. For starters its a very cool design, The sub looks like a real mini sub model!!! Second is the real working ballast built into the sub. I was thoroughly impressed with that. It has a side thruster that allows it to turn on a dime. And the obvious forward and backward thruster as well. My boy played with it for about an hour. Then it needed to charge again. As always because of the small fans and ballast I would only recommend using this in a clean pool, Bathtub, or a big fish tank!!!

The product did not work at ALL. Followed the instructions exactly. Everything was working smoothly until it was time to use the remote and there was no connectivity. I tried a reset as the instructions showed and even waited until the charging port had dried to charge it again. The submarine stopped charging all together. I found it odd that the submarine didn’t come with a port plug for the charging port. Ultimately, after 3 hours of trying to figure it out, I finally just processed a refund.

At first thought was a great idea for my fish but, I realized that they don't like the submarine. I didn't want to stress them out so I decided not to use it anymore. But the sub works well though.

It's alot of fun for the price. The only thing I don't like is the short range. The sub is well made ,sturdy, and turns on a dime. I like that it glides slowly through the water. The automatic surface feature has saved me many times from losing the sub at the bottom of the pond forever. The short range transmitter could be better quality though. I thought it broke when it stopped turning after only a few minutes of chasing fish in the pond. But it turned out there was just debris in the impeller. All you have to do to fix it is blow on the impeller (its right below the main propeller) to dislodge any stuck grain of sand or debris. Also, sometimes it won't turn because there is an air bubble in the impeller. So just swish the tail around in the water to get that air bubble out.

This was a okay radio controlled submarine to have.

My son uses it to chase the fish in his mom's tank. She's not particularly happy about it, but he smiles. So it's worth it.

Showed up, looked new. Wouldn’t dive. Took it apart to see if it was something easy, and holy. It looks like this thing has been sitting in battery acid for years, and the brown goo coating the inside of the shell was slightly concerning as I had only attempted to submerge it in clean water. Turns out the motor that drives the diving mechanism was seized solid. Another fine piece of quality garbage!

Pretty fun, the ballast doesn’t work the best but what do you expect for the price? It’s a fun little toy.

My 5 year old love it but remote not waterproof as suggested by the video. The remote is now damaged and also damaged my rechargeable batteries. I will buy again but will ensure my boy does not get the remote wet.

For the size and price of this thing I can only that it's great. Super accurate, connection never fails, after 20min still no water leaks even if the manual states it could after 10min. Worth the money, kids love it!
